Concierge Hotel TV - Volume Control

Hello,
A few weeks ago I got two used 20" Concierge hotel tvs on ebay. I don't know the model cause there's no lable.
The menu is disabled, so I cannot change the settings. In the firstdays of use the sound was OK. It could be turned upto level 65 on thedisplay (though it was muted from Level 63).
One day it setted itself to another maximum volume. Now I cannot raise the volume above Level 45. I can hardly hear the sound.

What can I do? Is it possible to unlock the volume control?

Have already opened it --- nothing. Seems to be a Zenith B19A02D (I've compared the pictures on fixya). I think there must be a code on the remote control to enter the menu. I'll try to find a manual.

If there are no chasis numbers on the outside you may want to open the cast and check for numbers there. Then you might be able to google the number and find a manual. some TV's willl enter the menu or rest by pushing two buttons at once on the set. This could change your channel selection however.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My tv was purchased from a hotel and the volume is 'locked' at the mid-point. how can i fix it?

you cant. these tvs are manufactured like this to keep the volume at an acceptable level so that this tv volume does not disturb the next room. Unless this tv has an audio output (red, white) to output the tv audio to an external audio source such as a surround sound system then the volume is what is. Altough a good buy a tv is from a hotel it comes with limitations. Take it to pawn shop to sell then buy another tv not from a hotel.

Volume control doesn't work on Grundig t 55-640

Some TV has a hotel mode, try checking in Menu maybe your TV is in Hotel mode thus preventing you to maximize the sound or volume.

I cannot reset the channels on my TV. It is the Concierge TV from a hotel. Will I need to buy a Zenith Remote from the store to do the channel programming. It says it is locked

You have a hotel/motel model that cannot be programmed or any of the settings changed without a special Master remote. Sorry, doubt that you can buy one from the store, they are not sold to the public. Contact the hotel where you bought the set and try to get the model number for the remote from them. This is a different number than the model number of your tv.

Adjusting TV Volume

Hi Joe,

If you do not have it available, you can access the user guide for this product at http://www.zenithservice.com.

Page 29 should be the beginning of instructions on using the installer remote. Reference the chart to find the menu line for start channel/volume. Depending on your set, this may be on line 10 or 11. You also may find options for minimum or maximum volume, as well as many other settings using this chart.

The next page gives specific information concerning this feature. The number you enter into this menu line determines the channel (with 0 being Aux and 255 turning the feature off). Volume is determined by actually setting the volume when on this menu line.

Hope this helps,
Jason,
