Could you hear if pump is working ? Maybe that a small sock or other piece of clothing get between the clothes tub and the outer tub that holds the water. If the clothing gets between the tubs, it may then get into the drain hose that's attached to the pump. To remove it from the outer tub port, open the washer's main access panel and remove the large-diameter rubber hose that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub and try to remove the clothing through the port.

Model EDI97170W code error E20 appear on the LCD panel.. is means for

An Electrolux?

The E20 fault code means there is a blockage in the drainage system of the machine.

Check the drain hose, the laundry sink tub and also the pump filter at the bottom right hand side of the washing machine on the front of the cabinet. Pry the door open, undo the filter bung and clean out the pump housing ok,

One of these is blocked and it is restricting the flow of water when the machine should be fully drained before spinning.

Washing machine keeps stopping

E20 not draining error. Since you checked filter at bottom right corner for blockages, then maybe the drain pump has gone faulty or something jammed in it. You can also check the drain hose for kinks or blockages. You can try blowing out any cloggs in the machine with an air compressor.

Please let me know if you need any further help, otherwise good luck on fixing your problem.

Machine had been giving E20 error code - filter cleared and it re-started ok. When wash was in progress - jammed at rinse stage and all lights came on (except spin speeds) and humming noise and nothing...

E20 is an error code for drainage failure.

Check where the appliance drain hose connects to the house drains for a blockage.

If it's onto a spigot under the sink, take them off and check both for a blockage.

If these are ok then it's likely to be a blockage in the pump.

You'll need to drain the water out manually.

Put a shallow dish below the filter and slacken the filter.

Tighten it to stop the flow of water while you empty the dish.

Once empty, take the filter out, clean out the debris and ensure nothing is left jamming the pump.

Before refitting the filter, put the machine on drain or spin and listen at the filter housing to see if you can hear the pump running.

If you do, fit the filter and try the machine again.

What does e20 mean on a zanussi electrolux progress 1200 hydrosystem

The error e20 indicates towards pump. The pump needs to be checked. The pump is blocked or broken.e20 is a not draining error code, check filter at bottom.could be faulty pump or something jammed in the impeller. --------------------------

You have a blockage in the drain hose I would suspect.

Keep putting it on drain till you get the water out or simply lower the drain hose into a wash basin.

Once it's empty, put a couple of towels down, unplug the machine and lay it carefully onto it's left side. Left side viewed from the front. (turn off the water first and disconnect the fill hose if necessary).

You can now take the drain hose off of the pump and take it out of the appliance to check for a blockage. If no blockage, you'll need to take the pump out and check that too.

Check the hose first. Also check for any small cloth getting blocked in the machine inside.

To remove the pump,It's clipped into the base.Look at the underside of the base.Squeeze the clips together and push them into the base a little. You can then slide the pump out of the filter housing.Watch for the O ring as this has to go back on to seal the pump. The pump slides in and out.

You'll only need to unplug the wiring. If hose or pump checked out faulty then it has to be replaced,if filter is clogged clean it.

---------------Thanks.
