Question about HP LaserJet P2015dn Printer

Not printing,attention (4th)light is also blinking

Problem in machine not in network or connection.Attention light,ready light & go button light are lighting together.After starting problem ink cartridge is also refilled but nothing improvement.

So what to do?

    I ahve this same problem with printer too.

    the ready light , attention and go light up. They remain lighted and nothing comes out of the printer.



    I have a P2015dn and a P2015. i have switched a round the formater boards. and both formater boards work in the P2015 but not in the P2015dn. i get the same error when i put in either of the boards.

THERE IS A KNOWN ERROR WITH THE P2015 PRINTERS WHERE THEY NEED TO GO BACK UNDER WARRANTY .
THE EPROM ON THE FORMATTER IS BAD HP HAS BEEN TAKING THESE BACK AND REPLACING THE FORMATTER.

HP M2727 printer has FLASHING attention and ready lights


leave printer on, and unplug the power supply, then wait10 min. plug it back in, this should reset the printer, you might have to do this again and unplug any connections to your computer, wait and then plug in printer with power off and plug in connection to your computer, then turn on printer,, check your ink levels when you power up. if ink levels are low ,you could get this error. if this don;t work go to your printers website and check there solutions or you might have to call them.

The red triangle light with the "!" in it keeps flashing. I've just printed some things off but now it's not printing. Need it to print obviously..


ATTENTION light(triangle): Indicates that the print-cartridge door is open, print cartridge is missing, and other errors.

If ATTENTION and READY light is blinking:

Printer initialization
The printer is initializing.
No action is necessary.

Cleaning mode
A cleaning page is printing.
Wait until the cleaning page has finished and the printer is in the Ready state.
This could take up to two minutes.

If ATTENTION and READY light is on:

Fatal error
Turn off the printer, and then unplug the printer power cord for 30 minutes.
Plug the printer power cord into the power outlet, and then turn the printer on.
If the error persists, replace the printer.

If ATTENTION light is blinking and READY light is off:

  1. Attention: door open, no print cartridge, or media jam
The printer is in an error state that requires operator intervention.
Check the following:
? The print cartridge door must be completely closed.
? The print cartridge is correctly installed.
? There is no media jam.

2. Out of memoryThe printer is out of memory.
The page you are printing might be too complex for the printer's memory capacity.
Try lowering the resolution.

Printer blinking red and showing letter E


Error description:

The Attention (red) light is blinking. There are six possible causes that will display the Attention light pattern:

-Paper out
-Door open
-Print cartridge missing
-Paper jam
-Paper sensor jammed
-Duplexer error

Solution :
After the cause of the problem has been addressed, pressing GO will cause the printer to attempt to recover from the cause of the error. If the printer is unsuccessful, it will continue to display the Attention message until the cause is remedied.

Pressing JOB CANCEL will cancel the print job and the printer will return to the Ready state (Ready light on) unless there is a paper jam still in the printer or the print cartridge is not in the printer.

Printer won't print labels


Try resetting the printer:
Note: it will erase all network settings.

Turn the printer off, press and hold the GO button, turn the printer back on, continue holding the GO button for at least 10 seconds, but for fewer than 20 seconds. After the Go, Attention, and Ready LEDs turn on, release the GO button. During this process, the Attention LED will turn on, the LEDs will begin to cycle, and the unit will perform a cold reset until the printer returns to the Ready state.

NOTE: If either the Go or Ready light turn off or no LEDs turn off before the GO button is released, repeat the process.

For PCL XL error: try to reinstall the printer drivers.

Unable to print a configuration page for hp jaserjet p2015 Series printer


Try this:
To print a Configuration page, press and hold the Go button for 5 seconds. When the Attention lights in on, relase the Go button (The printer is ready with no job activity)

To print a Demo page, press and release the Go button.

If the printer has a network card and the page is not come out, then is possible to view config page in web browser by typing printer IP address. Sometimes an administrator ID and Password should be necessary.
A cold reset should be resolved this issue.
steps for cold reset
---------------------
a)Turn off the printer.

b)Press and hold the Go button.

c)Turn the printer on, and continue to hold the Go button for at least 5 seconds, but not longer than 15 seconds. During this process, the Attention LED turns on.

d)Release the Go button.

NOTE: If both the Attention and the Ready LEDs turn on before you release the Go button, you must start the procedure again with step 1.Even if any other lights come before the attention light re-do the process.If at second attempt the same thing happens then there is nothing that can be done you will need to contact HP for tech help.

How do I reset hp laserjet p2015dn to factory default


NVRAM initialization sets all default variables stored in NVRAM back to factory default values or to a
default ROM value, depending on the variable. It also performs a system reset.
NVRAM initialization resets the following:
? All menu settings to factory default values
? Factory settings such as formatter number, page counts, and factory paper settings
Use the following procedure to perform an NVRAM initialization.
1. Turn the printer off.
2. Press and hold down the Go button.
3. Turn the printer on, and continue to hold the Go button for at least 20 seconds. During this
process, the Go button, Attention, and Ready LEDs each turn on.
4. Release the Go button.
The printer lights begin cycling. After the NVRAM initialization is complete, the printer returns to the
ready state.

Cold reset A cold reset changes most system parameters in NVRAM to the factory defaults. However, unlike NVRAM initialization, a cold reset does not reset the page count, the paper tray sizes, language, or formatter number.
A cold reset also resets all the HP Jetdirect settings as well as the printer settings. Use the following procedure to perform a cold reset.
  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Press and hold the Go button.
  3. Turn the printer on, and continue to hold the Go button for at least 5 seconds, but not longer than 15 seconds. During this process, the Attention LED turns on.
  4. Release the Go button.
    If both the Attention and the Ready LEDs turn on before you release the Go button, you must start the procedure again with step 1.
The printer's LEDs begin cycling. The cold-reset process runs until completion, and the printer returns to the ready state.


Network reset A network reset changes all network system parameters in NVRAM to the factory defaults. During the network-reset process, all button presses are ignored.
Use the following procedure to perform a network reset.
  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Simultaneously Press and hold the Go and Job Cancel buttons.
  3. Turn on the printer and continue to hold the Go and Job Cancel buttons for approximately 10 seconds, but no longer than 20 seconds. During this process, the Attention light turns on.
  4. Release the Go and Job Cancel buttons. The Attention , Ready , and Go lights begin cycling from front to back. After the network-reset process is complete, the device returns to the ready state.
    If the Attention and Ready lights illuminate before you release the Job Cancel button, start again at step 1.
Now plug in the network cable and then wait for 5 mins.
Then print a configuration page and check the IP Address.
