My view finder on my sony dslr A100 wont show what i am looking at though the view finder

The A100 uses sensors near where you place your eye. Make sure the rubber eye cup is clean, and does not block these sensors.
as a test put your finger on them while holding camera away from face ( located just below eye cup) then you will see the view finder light up. If not problem is the sensors.

You may have turned your screen off without knowing it. Does it have a eye piece viewfinder (part where you look through it)? If it does, can you look through it? If you can, that means your camera is still working. There should be a button on the camera to switch from eye-viewer mode to screen mode.

That's the best I got, maybe try to find something about that in the manual...

I have a fugi fine pix, when using it in bright sun light i cant see anything

Geofchaam,
You could be experiencing one of two issues:
1) You are having a difficulty viewing the image on the back of the camera (not the view finder). This is common on cameras out in the sun, try cupping your spare hand over the screen to cast a shadow on the screen.
2) You cannot view anything in the view finder. Since the view finder has its own tiny LCD display inside of it, it is displaying what image the camera will take if you press the shutter release. I would double check to see if the camera is set correctly for shooting in bright sunlight (check your owners manual, or set the camera to Automatic), and if there is a difference between what you're seeing in the viewfinder, and what images the camera is taking, consider calling Fuji, as it sounds like a hardware issue.

Fuji S5200 view finder reads Frame No. Full

Go into setup menu by pressing menu, scroll to >set< then scroll to >frame number< and change the default 'cont' to 'renew' Save the new setting and leave the set-up menu. That should solve your problem.

Turn on camera..view finder and/or display screen

The s7000 has three different display modes: Screen, viewfinder, and off. Screen is for looking at the big screen, viewfinder is for looking through the digital viewfinder, and off should turn off all the displays. Try pressing the DISP button once. That should reactivate the screen and make it possible to use the camera again.

When powered up the LCD screen displays a series of black lines flickering up and down the screen. Same also in the view finder. Can still access the menu setup.

Hi
I have got an S5000 that I can still view previously taken pictures from the card, but when trying to take pictures the screen and view finder shows a peculiar distorted purple and green picture and any picture taken is just a green blur.
I contacted Fuji and they say they can repair it for £90 (about $120)
