Question about RCA P60928 TV

Open Question

RCA P60928 I have a 60" that the picture all of a sudden viewed like you were watching 3D, then cut off.Lost power and could not turn on with remote, or by the front buttons of TV. unplugged to try to reset. Nothing, no power at all. Then took off front screen and speaker covers to clean red, green, blue lights. and con't to take apart back cover to remove all dust everywhere inside. Looked for fuse to replace. Found it and replaced it, now TV works, but still looks 3D and picture has curves at top and bottom. it is no longer squared. How do I adjust red, green, blue to view as one and not 3 separate colors. I tried to adjust lamps from behind TV by sliding nut left and right. If I get all 3 colors together, then picture is not focus or squared. Then I tried to adjust from front of TV the 3 screwdriver pieces for red, green, blue (focus and screen knobs), but still no luck. It's either all 3 colors together with blur or all 3 colors separate (looking 3D) with a clearer picture. Either way the screen still had an arch at the top like a smile and the bottom had an arch like a frown. Please help, it's a great TV had it for 7yrs first major problem!!!!

SOURCE: bottom of picture is cut off

Usually when the vertical starts shrinking slowly, it is due to capicators getting out of tolerance in the vertical output section of the chassis. If it can be adjusted out through a service menu, you'll probably need a tech with the right equipment to perform it.

SOURCE: RCA F32450 32" TV: suddenly shut off wont turn on

Followed Terryfic's solution. I am a DIYer and managed to order the part, desolder the old one and solder in the new one. However, when I turned it back on I got a black screen with sound. Hmmm, saw the adjustment screws but was hesitant. Ended up turning about 10 degrees one way and presto chango... Saved a $1200 upgrade to HD for a $30 part! Thanks

Have you tried to access the menu features and tried to retune the stations on digital, or are you hooked up for analog.
If you don't know about what i speak, give me a yell. I believe my remote sensor card is bad. While this might explain why you can't turn yours off, it would not explain the blank picture. If the menu does show, i would think the picture tube is O.K. if the menu does not show, there are some other things to look at.

SOURCE: rca home theatre big screen tv

# 1 above you have covergence problems ,there is a service flash from rca to fix your fault, ask your tv shop. fault # 2 above turn off the color and adjust your screen settings for a grey picture, set brightness and contrast to middle settings. # 3 fault read #1 cause if your auto focus will not correct you require service there is a harness connector that looses connection and causes several fualts on the 52" rca's you can repair the fault but if you miss the harness replacement you will do it again.

My DVD player is hooked up to my RCA truflat but i cannot find the picture. I lost the original remote to my RCA truflat and am now using a RCA universal remote. How do I get picture on my tv?

There should be a button on the front of the TV that says TV/VIDEO or INPUT. Turn on the DVD player and put a DVD in it and press play. Press the TV/VIDEO button until the picture is present.

Good Luck....

Same thing happened to me

Well, no sound no picture = power supply unit
Sound no picture= flyback
picture no sound =tuner/audio logic

You get my drift?

You power supply is bad you replace it you got another new TV, with this digital conversion hitting I would rather advise you to get a nice flat panel and donate that one to Goodwill

RCA 32 in TV no picture no sound just a beeping noise TV power is on

You have a bad flyback transformer and shorted horizontal output transistor. Your set would have to be taken to a shop to have these parts replaced. Stargazer
