There are a multitude of You-Tube Video s showing how to do phone repairs like that.
My Daughter came up to me with her broken screen Phone and a box with replacement screen (directly from China) She showed me where the You-Tube video was and asked me how soon I could get fixed for her. Some time in the past I think I told her "I Could Fix Anything - BUT - A Relationship" :)
I recently had this happen with an htc. first it was just the glass broken, then the broken glass ruptured the lcd. If it is just the glass, good news. I found it to be called a screen digitizer and I found one for your phone for about $16 and it comes with an installation kit. The LCD is beneath this digital glass screen, but only connected to it by a ribbon cable. here is a link to your screen digitizer. if you are handy you can do this fairly easily after a few youtube videos. otherwise you can order the part and take it to a local phone repair shop & they will most likely complete the install within 30 min.
If the phone is working, and the only probkem is the screen, then try opening it up and dryin it. If this doesnt help, then, the connection (solder) betweent the board of the phone and the screen has been broken. You would have to melt off the solder attatched to it totally, and then re-solder it. This should help. If that still doesnt work - though it should - then you would have to consider purchasing another screen. Success.
Try getting the screen fixed. This way you'll be able to see how to get the pics off, and still be able to use the phone. Try CPR in New York City. They are faster than the manufacturer, and
cheaper!They have a usual
turnaround of 3-5 business days. And if you become a fan on their facebook
page, mention it and you will get a 10% discount.
Here is the link to their facebook page, it has all the info
ive had a similar problem... but what i did is i looked at what the insurance does cover... since it doesnt cover water damage.. defect the phone in some way that the insurance will cover. its only if you're in desperate need. there is no way to fix water damage... but i know PLENTY of tricks to soak water out of the phone
It sounds like a cable inside the phone has either come loose or has been broken, which is rather common with RAZRs. You will need to either open the phone up and find the faulty cable, or drop it off at a shop for a quick, cheap repair.
