I Don't know if this is the case with THIS card or not. But when I had an ATI All in Wonder card I had to run a patch cable from the card to an audio input on my soundcard.

Hopefully this helps you.

HOW DO I RECORD TV USING MY TEAC WITH BUILT IN RECORDER

You can ONLY record to the INTERNAL drive, there is NO facility to do as you wish. You could of course, using a TV/Video capture card, and suitable DVR software, and a PC, and IF your TV has a "Monitor Out" Composite Video Yellow, & Audio, Red & White. then you could stream the Video & Audio, to the TV/Video capture cards Inputs, and save, as a Video Format to the Hard drive IN the PC, or to an External drive, or whatever you wanted to. That's the only way I know of doing what you want.

I have a HP Media Center PC 470n. Is there another card just for that PC. I have the wintv- hvr 1600,not as happy as I thought I would be.

You can use any capture card you want as long as you have a slot on the mother board. Media Center works with almost every capture card.
Having said that, i found hauppauge a great capture device what was it you didnt like?

Kworld TV88x audio problem

How are you plugging it in to the capture card? Some cards are video only, You have to buy a card that does video and audio. Most have an adapter that connects to svideo, and rca. I would go with a usb unit. That is what I use. Thanks

Philips SAA7130 TV Tuner/FM Radio/Video PCI Capture Card problems

Have you checked the installation? - most PCI capture cards use the audio card of the PC for sound. A jumper cord is needed to come out the capture card and into the audio line-in jack. Green jack on the capture card is OUT, and the Blue jack on the sound card is Line IN.

Camera into a web-cam

If your camera has a video and audio output like many of these types of small digital cameras, you can get a video capture card for your computer. Install the software and drivers for the capture card. Then you feed the camera to the capture card using the proper connection cables. The MSM, Yahoo, and most of the other conferencing softwares should be able to see the capture card as a video and audio source.

For the camera, you will need the AC adabtor. The camera's internal batteries are going to run down very quickly when using the camera in the video mode.

You may find the video content very large in data bandwidth if you don't have the means to compress the audio and video. Using the full resolution without compression may cause some problems and large amounts of streaming bandwidth. If the other users are on dialup, or if you are on dialup, this will be a big problem.

My preference would be to get a good Webcam that can work on the USB port. There will be no bandwidth compression problems, and it was designed for this type of job.

Sound is not recorded

The problem would appear to be your audio settings.

You have the audio input set to Realtek HD Audio Input. That is the audio input on your soundcard, not the video capture card. You will need to change this so that you have the capture card selected. (I am not familiar with this exact model of card so I can't tell you exactly what it will be called.)

Alternatively, if you are trying to capture the audio via your soundcard (not recommended as it can cause sync problems) you will need to make sure that the 'line in' channel in enabled in the Windows mixer:

Start>Control Panel>Sounds & Audio Devices>Audio Tab>Click Volume in sound recording section>Tick Line In

Hope this helps,

Matt

How to input audio with capturing the video?

The white and red leads off the VCR are typically audio, the yellow is video. I would suspect the problem is elsewhere. The cards capture software is a likely candidate.
