Question about GE ZDBR240PBS Stainless Steel Beverage Cooler
My Monogram ZDBR240PBS no longer cools. It doesn't sound like the motor is coming on anymore either. Is it common for the motors or thermostats to go out? I know that it has power as the light still comes on when I open the door. Should I have it repaired or just replace? Any idea of worst and best case cost to repair? Darn thing cost me $1000 so I'd hate to dump it. Thanks for your help!!!
So I took off the back cover and indeed the compressor is running as well as the fan. The warranty on the closed system is 5 years and just out of warranty as it was bought in 2003. Is it typical for these systems to leak? Would the compressor run if it was broken? I'll take it over to a technician tomorrow. Thanks for your help and suggestions!!

Depend how old it is, Monogram does have a better warranty then regular appliances, sounds like it may have a bad power supply board in the back. It may have a compressor problem but the circut board is more likely. It would probably be worth having a GE tech to come and give you an estimate a the very least. Only because if you purchase the new board and install it, most places will not accept returns on electronic parts. Hope this helped.
