WhatThe length of a year and why

Our calendar is called the Gregorian calendar, in which a year is 365.2425 days. It is worthwhile noting a Gregorian day is 24 hours.

Calendar comes from the Latin, meaning first day of the month.

The ideal calendar is one which reflects properly the movements of the earth. That is, you want dawn and dusk to always be at approximately the same part of the day, with allowance for the seasons. You also want the seasons to always be at about the same part of the year, without much variation. So that is why the day and the year have this length of time.

The major calendar before our Western Christian Gregorian calendar was the Julian calendar, due to Julius Caesar, and still sometimes used. This was pretty accurate but still had a drift of 3 days every 4 centuries. By 1582 a correction had to be made, because Easter wasn't happening at the right time. Pope Gregory decreed a slight change in the length of a year, and a reform in the use of leap years, which are in fact regular corrections so the calendar will fit properly to the movements of the earth.

Disable Startup programs to increase system speed

One of the great things about our operating systems today is the automated processes that take place in the background. These processes make many programs run faster and make them easier to use. However, this feature can also use resources on programs that you may never use. Some programs use auto updates or even schedulers to regularly check for updates, is this necessary? Not really. I often suggest to people to remove unwanted or unused processes from startup. This can be more difficult than it sounds as there are often many items in the startup that are unknown to most users. I now have a solution to this problem. You can go to this is the largest and most in-depth list of startup items I have ever seen. At first the list will seem very intimidating it is very large. However, once you get started it goes quickly. You can search alphabetically on the site so don't panic. If you run across an entry that is not listed try google and do a search for it. Follow the instructions below to view and disable startup processes. Although it can be time consuming I suggest you check every one of your startup entries and verify if they are in fact necessary. The speed increase is worth the time spent and you may even find hidden malware or viruses you didn't know were there.

Click-Start

In run line or search box (depending on OS) type "msconfig" hit enter.

Microsoft's System Configuration Utility should open.

Select Startup tab

Here you will be able to view and disable\enable startup items. After verifying all startup items you will need to reboot for the changes to take affect. When windows reloads you will get a message that will tell you the startup configuration has been changed and how to change it back. Select the check box in lower left corner "Do not show this message again" to make this go away. If at anytime after you have made changes you have problems with an application simply go back to "Msconfig" and enable the applications startup process. Following these instructions could significantly speed up your system.
What is the percentage of money spent if 24500 was budgeted for 1 year and 1628 was spent in 7 months?

About 6.6%, assuming nothing else will be spent in the other five months. If the spending continues at the same pace, then about 11.4% will be spent. If 22872 will be spent in the final five months then 100% will be spent.

Error that wont go away

Please be careful when running any sort of tools on the registry. Since almost everything in windows has a registry entry you MUST be very carefull when doing anything to the registry. IMPORTENT : Back-up the registry BEFORE doing anything to it. The problems you are having right now COULD be because of changes made to the registry. It is hard to know because you didn't post EXACTLY what the error messages were. I can only guess what happened: 1) Possibly references to .net driver paths where re-written or deleted, A re-install of windows .net should fix this problem. 2) The path to your outlook inbox files could have been rewritten and/or possibly deleted. If you cannot find the path to these files (if they are still there) and enter that path in to the registry, then you have probably lost your local copy of your saved email. In that case there is no fix. My recommendations: 1) Always back-up, back-up, and back-up some more (you never know when something will go wrong) 2) Always take note of the exact error messages the computer gives you. It is THE only solution to any problem. Also to save you panicking, most of the registry entries regcure reports on (as with ALL registry repair tools) are NOT a problem. MOST of these entries are MRU entries (recent files applications remember), missing shortcuts, directory's and the like, nothing of which will harm your computer. You really only need to run a registry cleaner once every few months.
