Which LG TV do you have? For the LG TV that I have, you need to know the current password to change it or return it to the default.
For my unit, click the Menu button on the remote. Go to Settings and click Enter. Navigate to Lock and click enter. Then select Set Password and click enter again. The default (initial) password is 0000 . Click Enter again to save the password. To enable or disable the Lock, select System Lock from the Lock sub-menu. You will need to enter the password to unlock the TV.
I hope this helps. (My tv is a recent Smart TV 3D units.) Please add a comment with your model and I'll try to check if there are other steps you can try. My TV remembers the password even when unplugged since it has solid state memory.

open 192.168.1.1 in internet explorer,it will ask for username and password,leave the username blank and in password type admin,press enter.Click on Applications and Gaming.Click on Port range forwarding.Enter the start and End of port no.(If single port no then Start=End) and IP addres of TV .Scroll Down and click save settings.Port are open now :)
