If your cennecting using an hdmi to dvi then you might want to check that your ps3 is only sending video and not video and sound as not all screens have a dvi port that supports sound and dvi. Also it could just be a resolution issue. Try having the resolution of your ps3 to 720 or possibly lower and see what happens. Then if all good work your way up to find what your monitor can handle.
simply unplug--then replug--your HDMI cable. Or also go into the audio setup menu and reapply the "automatic" setting for HDMI to get the sound to work. I don't know if Sony can do anything about this or not in a firmware upgrade, but what it can do is try to simplify the labeling on some of the sound settings.
Let me know
M1-DA is a type of DVI connection that produces both analogue and digital signals, the easiest and most quality source cable for you to get is a HDMI to M1-DA cable which is now widely available for purchase.
Infocus should have included this cable in with your projector, but instead the power at bee decided to put a M1-DA to DVI-D cable instead when most visual devices now support HDMI and not DVI nowadays.
Yes you can. It will not be like a HDMI cable but it will be better than the RCA. Your image will be in your HDTV (1920 × 1080). But you will have to buy a HDMI cable and and HDMI-DVI adaptor. You will not have sound so you will have to connect either your RCA or if you have a Digital Optical Audio sounds better.
a DVI Connection does not transmit sound, so you will need a seperate audio cable.
Have you changed the settings in the ps3 and your tv's input to HD signal or 720 DPI, do not choose 1080i or 1080P as DVI does not support those high settings.
