Clearer sound = more watts / more power.
amp watts? speaker load/impedence ohms output from amp? those peavey speakers will sound good if they are powered correctly. plus try to keep the mic away from the speakers, which brings me to my next suggestion..... mic??? this will also affect your clarity.

Monster clarity does not work wired

Mine wouldn't either. Now I have paired it with the Bluetooth and it installed something (drivers?), and now it works. So, now how do I know if it is always connecting Bluetooth or wired? I connected the wire and it is still working, so now how do know if I really need the wire or not???

I have a new Samsung Surround System but the only speakers that seem to be working are the front two. I have done the music speaker test and they all work ok there. Could u tell me what settings i need...

Make sure you are getting a stereo signal off FM or use a cd in DVD player. Then start selecting different sound processing modes like dolby digital 5.1 or surround sound, or theatre sound, etc. Give that a try and it should get u up and running... Sometimes the only way to select the modes is thur the remote. Keep that in mind and you should be good to go...Let me know how this turns out... Good luck...and happy listening... HDTV GURU JAY

Inside the speaker cabinet, is blue wire positive or negative?

Hi, It all depends on the combination of the wires inside the cabinet.

It can be Blue and white ,and another color combination.

But the blue color is always Positive , While the White is negative.

To test, you can use a battery to check. When you put the blue wire on positive, you will notice the clarity of sound that comes out, other than when you use the white as positive.

Hope that helps.

You can write back if you need more help on that.

Thanks for using fixya......

Loss of power & clarity

Do they sound good at low level? If so i would suspect the drivers may be a bit smoked. Some drivers will still work after being overheated but exhibit a lowered impedance to the driving amp and do all sorts of bad things including possibly burning up the driving amp.If they are still under warranty, bring them back and tell them they better check them out again cause your 12 year old cousin can tell they are in distress and if they still can't find anyhting wrong maybe you can get him a job.But seriously, give them the smell test.Put your schnozz near the center of the woofer cone, then tweeter center to see if you detect any burnt smell at all.even a little bit can be a clue that there is a big prob.Next step is to remove the suspect from the case and give it a feel.while you are doing this, give the amp circuitry a quick visual for anything burnt or obviously dammaged. The smell test is really good for the amps as they get REALLY smelly when they are in trouble.Try to gently move the cone inward and then outward.NOT hard enough to damage it but what you are looking for is any slight drag or uneven cone movement like a slight scraping. If you have another decent speaker that is similar in size(not really necessary) and quality(i consider this very necessary),try the substitute to see if you are on the right track. What we are trying to do is narrow the prob down to the actives(amp/crossover circuitry) or passive(actual speaker mechanisms).Actives need a tech.Passives need you to get a replacement speaker and install it yourself.may be just a woof or maybe a woof and a tweet or whatever.remember, you need to listen closely(this is a mental process) to decide if what you hear(physical process) is good audio.Take it from there Sparky! This process is good for any active speaker.

Computer sound output devices

The sound you get would depend on the sound card from your computer. In general you can use the standard Mini Plug output from your sound card into the Aux input of your receiver. You would need a head phone extension cable ( one using a mini plug, not 1/4 type ) then you will need a head phone to RCA Y adapter to split out the R & L channels for your receivers input. It is also a common item. Plug the Y adapter RCA side into one of the open inputs on your receiver and the other end into your headphone extension cable, then to the speaker output on your sound card.
This will give you standard output to your receiver, if the signal out is Dolby encoded, then you should be able to get the Surround sound that you are after.
