Question about Sony KP-46WT510 46" Rear Projection HDTV
I have a sony KP46WT510 46" rear projection tv. We were watching a video when it suddenly went black. Tried turning it back on but all that happens is the power light blinks and there is a clicking sound. I was told by Best Buy that it would cost a minimum of $500.00 to fix. They said the power supply is bad and that they would need to replace it first and go from there. obviously I can't spend $500 on a fix that might not even be all the problem. It is around 5 yrs old so it isn't worth that much. But was wondering if anyone has had the problem or another suggestion. I found a post on the internet that suggested it was a thermal fuse about the size of a dime under the fan housing. What do you think.
