Loud fan blank screen andthe fan is lousd.

I posted this problem yesterday, nothing worked, I am going to try again with more info this time. When I turn on the computer(compaq destop sr2034nx) the screen does not come on and the fan is loud and runs all the time. There are no beeps. I am using a magnovox flat screen for my monitor. I know that it is not the monitor, becasue i can hook up my lap top to that monitor it works. Is there any way to hook up my laptop to my tower and run a antivirus or update drivers

First

try by resetting the memory..

remove the memory module when powered down..and the mains switched off..there shouldn't be any light on the board...use a static band if available..if not touch the metal part of your machine to discharge static off your hand...resit the memory....if there is 2 or 3 try placing 1 at a time and rebooting....

keep me posted

And if this did fix your issue please do not forget to vote!

Cheers!

Check your memory, processor, PSU (power supply) and your motherboard, any one of these components could be the problem, if its intel it will be the processor or motherboard, if its AMD its no doubt memory or PSU. quick way to sort the problem in most cases is to reset the cmos/bios, this is situated near the battery on the motherboard in the pc ( if you have it right the pc will not turn on when you press the power button ) put the plastic jumper back in the possition you found it and restart your pc. if that doesn't work then look into what i said above

good luck

PS use a torch to see where the cmos reset is

I am having trouble with my posting and sending. I wrote yesterday and said it was my InBox. Well is my posting or sending gifts.

Update flashplayer
or you can try using google chrome for f/b games.
More likely a f/b problem if updating flashplayer does not help.

Worked fine yesterday - will not turn on today - kitchen

When you say the machine is dead do you mean you are getting no LED lights at all or do you mean it is not booting up? No power and no post are two different things. With no power you get absolutely nothing at all. With no post you may have some LED lights but nothing comes up on the screen. You said power and power supply tested ok. How are you testing it? I need more info please.

Tohiba l300 completely blank screen

If the screen is always blank, even on startup , before loading Windows, than this is probably an hardware fault.

Try unplugging the laptop and removing the battery at the same time, wait 5 minutes, then put the laptop together. This will drain power and reset the laptop.

If that does not work, and you get no pictuer under any circumstance , then there is a fault.

If the screen is black with no light , then it is either a faulty inverter or a problem on mainboard.

If the screen is all lit, but is blank with no signal, then it is often because of a bad LCD ribbon cable , but can be again the video chipset on the motherboard.

Try connecting to an external monitor, if it works then problem is restricted to LCD/inverter and ribbon cable, if it does not work on external monitor is usually a bad video chipset on motherboard.

Acer Aspire 5052 nothing on LCD

If the LCD display worked until the processor over heated and then went blank, and would work again once it cooled down, then yes I do. As you described above, the screen going blank and blank still on reboot ( no time to cool down ), then the next day the LCD displayed again ( cooled down over night ). Appears to be directly related to the over heating problem.
But if the display problem progressed to the point that the PC would boot up cold and the display was still blank, then I would think your graphics card will need repair.

Screen won't appear upon start up and I get 3 beeps but no screen

3 beeps POST code (power on self test) means RAM problem.
Reseat the RAM module/s and boot up your computer.
If you have two RAM modules, remove them both and insert one at a time to test them, to determine which module is faulty.
If it still doesn't work then replace the RAM module/s

Toshiba Equium M50-192 Blank Screen when Boot

This sounds to be an issue with the processor. Try removing the processor, blowing it off, and reseating it firmly and properly. Put it back together and see if this cures it. Keep in mind that a malfunctioning processor can cause an overheating problem just as easily as a fan or heatsink.
