Is jack on Zenith TV #SR2571DT6 for component or composite video

I would like to know is the jack on the back of my Zenith TV #SR2571DT6 for component or composite video ? I would like to display info from my laptop computer on the TV. Is this jack for video input only or can it also be used for video output from the TV to, say, a DVD recorder.

Thanks

The spec on any TV is easy to find and read, as is the whole manual. ever just google it and read it? oops it is relic,
the answer is composite that old.
the online book is so blurry i cant read the page on jacks.
the 1994 no PDF then only now we have horrid scanned pages.
like 30DPI horrid .

first off this is not HDMI, those are all inputs.
SR or SM? is that a typo, ? google finds zero on your model.
omg there are SR TVs made in 1994, wow that is one old TV.

quote wiki. (all are inputs, never outputs)
Most older TVs that have AV inputs will have a set of composite inputs as will as some HDTVs, but typically only HDTVs have the Component inputs. Check your TVs inputs to see what you need. If the input on the TV has only 3 connectors (yellow, white and red) it is composite and if there are 5 connectors in the input grouping together you need the component cable.

this is the SM model, only one I can find.
it clearly says INPUT, see?
and has 2 channels for say 2 VCR's LOL
this is composite due to component jacks not invented in 1994 yet.

Is jack on Zenith TV #SR2571DT6 for component or c - sm-z1fpin1ha24aqwl2cxswhash-5-0.jpg not this

the source the RGB colors tell you its component class.
and for for sure the Y signal jack Green.

nor this.

i think 2008 is year of introduction never 1Is jack on Zenith TV #SR2571DT6 for component or c - component2-z1fpin1ha24aqwl2cxswhash-5-3.jpgloads/images/component2-z1fpin1ha24aqwl2cxswhash-5-3.jpg" alt="component2-z1fpin1ha24aqwl2cxswhash-5-3.jpg" class="h_mi" /> note the 5 cables.

that actually isnt a true svideo port. it does output video, but it needs a converter that dell sells for about 30 bucks (ebay is cheaper). it plugs directly into the "s-video" port on the computer and splits it off into both an svideo connection and an rca connection.

SOURCE: No audio output to tv on my dell 1545

That, & most, earphone sockets, simply doesn't have enough "Current" or signal voltage to drive your TV set's audio in Amplifier. You need to get a Pre-Amp, to amplify the signal, up to a level that can be used by the TV. So you need to purchase, or build from a kit, a small stereo pre-amp and insert it between your laptop & TV audio In.

How to connect composite and component

Your description is somewhat confusing. Most TVs today have component inputs with limited composite inputs. If you have the red green and blue video input Jacks, that is component. The single Yellow Jack is composite. There are adapters available on the internet. You don't need audio in the adapter because audio out to audio in from DVD to TV is the same regardless of the video input. Another option if your DVD is the single yellow output is to convert that to HDMI for which adapters are available. Hear you do have to use the audio jacks to the converter for the HDMI cable to function. Otherwise more information is necessary.

How can i connect a video camera to play through tv. my camera cables are red-white-and yellow. tv. is white-red- green-green-and red.

Your camera has three cables, red and white for stereo audio, and yellow for what is called composite video. Composite video puts the three color signals into one composite signal. Your TV sounds like it has a component video connection, which wants all three color video signals separated onto three plugs. They are usually color coded green, blue, red. Not sure if you mistook a blue outlet for green..... In any case, on my TV, it will allow me to connect a yellow composite signal to the green component jack, the first (leftmost) of the three component video jacks. Not sure if your TV will work this way, but it is worth a try. Otherwise, you can look up accessories for your video camera and see if it can output true component video and stereo audio, but I tend to doubt it will.

How to connect samsung dvd to samsung tv

Follow these steps: Component Video Connection 1. Get a component video cable. This cable has 3 sets of connectors, one each for the red, blue and green color signals.
2 Match the connectors to the appropriate video output jacks on the DVD player. Component video outputs will normally be labeled Cr/Cb/Cy. The Cy output jack is matched to green, Cr to red and Cb to blue.
3 Run the cable from DVD player to the TV. Most TV connections are made from the back panel, but this may vary.
4 Match the connectors to the appropriate video input jacks on the TV.
If using S-Video Connection
1 Get an S-video cable. This cable has a single round connector with 4 pins.
2 Attach one end of the S-video cable to the S-video output jack on the DVD player.
3 Attach the other end to the S-video input jack on the TV.
Composite Video Connection 1 Get a composite video cable. These types of cables are frequently bundled with two-channel audio cables. Composite video cables are tipped with yellow plugs.
2 Plug one end of the composite video cable into the composite video output jack on your DVD player.
3 Plug the other end into the composite video input jack on your TV.

We need to connect a wii and a dvd player up to our 32 in Emerson? Unsure of which jacks to use?

First, you must figure out If your TV has component video inputs. This is a set of five cables (red, blue and green for video and red and white for audio) and will give you the best picture on an hdtv

Then, If your TV does not have the component video cables, you will be using the red white and yellow composite yellows the system came with. A very simple connection.

Last, If your TV does have the component video inputs, you will need to buy a set of the Nintendo Wii Component Video cables from Walmart, Target or any other gaming store. These will enable widescreen view and the best picture quality.

To connect your DVD player, you need to located the composite video inputs and s-video. Composite video is a yellow, female RCA jack, normally found next to two audio jacks, one red, the other white. The three jacks together provide an interface for audiovisual connections. The red RCA jack connects the right channel of a stereo system, while the white RCA jack connects the left. The yellow composite video jack rounds out the set.

When playing the Wii, you will need to be on the correct video input "Component"

When playing the DVD, you will be on "Composite/Svideo."

Hi, I bought an aquos lc-30hv4u and it has no rca jack etc, only two plug ins labled display input 1 and 2. I am guessing its just a pc monitor. How would I use it for cable tv video games etc

There are lots of inputs on the back behind the cover. Three inputs (1, 2, 3) have an S-video, composite video (A/V) and component video jacks. The cover will come off if you press the two top hook at the top of the cover. Then rotate the cover towards you. There are also a DVI-D port and 2 coax (antenna in) jack. The tuners included are for NTSC (analog OTA) and CATV (analog cable). The front of the PC (VGA) and a S-video or composite (A/V) video input (called Input 4).

Composite and component video jacks are all RCA jacks (as are the associated audio jacks for the input). Composite cables uses three RCA plugs on each end - yellow for video, red and white for Right and Left audio. Component video cables have three plugs on each end that just carry video (red, blue and green); the audio is wired separately with just 2 RCA red/white plugs. Match your colors from the device out to the TV input.

Changing inputs can be done with the remote or the input button on the top of the TV. The input button is to the left of the power and Main Power buttons.

Connecting your game system, cable system and all will depend on the units. For the best picture, use component video cables for mose set top box. Some cable boxes have a DVI port - use that if the box has that option. If they do not have component video out, then use composite or S-video cables.

The owner's manual is available from Sharp as a pdf: http://www.sharpusa.com/CustomerSupport/ProductDownloads.aspx?downloadtype=ownersmanual . Use the drop down menus as follows > LCD TV, Model not listed, LC-30HV4U then click Search. The picture of the inputs are on page 10.

I hope this helps.

How do I hook the dvd player to the tv???

If your TV has composite video inputs, use the A/V cable that came with the player. Connect the black mini-plug to the AV out on the left side of the DVD player. The other side has standard composite video (RCA jacks); connect the yellow plug to a composite video in jack on the TV. Then plug the red and white plugs to the matching Audio in for that composite video connection. If you do not have the adapter, get a replacement like: http://dynexproducts.com/products/cables-cords-adapters/DX-AV071.html .

If your TV doesn't have composite video inputs, you will need the appropriate converter depending on the TV. Most likely you would need a composite video to RF converter (an RF modulator) like this: http://www.hdtvsupply.com/rfmodulator.html . (Most TVs with component video and HDMI ports will also have composite video jacks.)

I hope this helps.

Cindy Wells
(If you have enough devices that you need a switch, you can find them in stores like Radio Shack. If you want to convert to component video, those converters also exist. However, each converter will degrade the signal a bit.)

How do i connect my dvd rv32 to my sony tv?

It will depend on your TV's inputs. The included cable is a composite A/V cable. This will work. Match the RCA plugs on each device (yellow to video out on the DVD player, video in on the TV; white and red audio go similarly). Alternatively, you can get and use an S-video cable.

For a better picture if your TV has Component video, get a Component video cable (this has three RCA jacks colored red, green and blue on each end) and then use that. You can get a separate audio cable that only has the red/white RCA jacks (or use the composite video with the yellow video jacks dangling).

If your TV doesn't have Composite video inputs, you need a RF modulator (Composite to RF converter). These are available at many sites, including Radio Shack.

I hope this helps.
