Question about Creative Labs Zen Neeon MP3 Player
When turned on now all it does is displays the Creative logo, and I can hear it do this slow cascade of 6 notes dropping in pitch then 3 notes the same.
I can hear the disc spinning inside, but it does nothing else.
When plugged into a computer, the disc cannot be read or recognised by a variety of computers I've plugged it into via the USB cable.
I have tried what the Creative support page for the product suggest (here: http://support.creative.com/kb/ShowArticle.aspx?sid=9770)
I have, many times, put a pin into the reset hole next to the "lock" icon (in my player it's on the lower left hand side of the unit UNLIKE their diagram, which has it on top of the unit on the left hand side).
This does not fix it - only turns it off. When turned back on, the same problem is still there.
Of course, in their wisdom, the "recovery mode" referred to on the support page just happens not to work with my model player (great, thanks Creative).
I've also tried letting the battery run flat. Does not fix the problem either.
It was bought in May 2007 and only had 1 years manufacturer's warranty via the site I got it from, so it's out of warranty.
I have searched through the solutions provided on the FixYa site for this player but none helped.
You firstly should make sure about you dont have some aytorun virus in your player.I had the same problem and i fortunatly discovered an autorun virus in my player.I cleaned it and i started it in recovery mode.then i updated the firmware.it began working.you should try that.you can find the firmware upgrade program on creatives website.Good luck.

a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
