Question about Samsung PCL5415RB 54" Rear Projection Television
I replaced both convergence ic's as suggested. didn't fix anything, same problems bowed screen, triple image. Tried perfect focus before changing the ic's and it says no sensor data and does the same afterwards. Should I just break down and buy the whole convergence amp module or push it to the curb? Could it be the pico fuse? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
If you bought a kit from sites such as TvRepairKits.com go back and ask for help. If you bought the parts over the internet without instructions you have two common problems...1) Bad/Fake chips... or 2) You did the repair wrong - because you lack proper instrucitons.
Pico fuses - yes - they can be one of many secondary reasons convergence is not fixed on Samsung models.

Probable bad convergence IC's---STK units on large heat sink.
Also, possible blown fuse (soldered-in) hidden under heat sink.
Samsung is known for making the fuse devices hard to find.
