XP does not detect player

Windows XP is unable to install the T sonic 610 automatically. It reads it but then asks for the location of the drivers. Am connecting through the USB and am sure that the USB drive is working as its recogonizing my digital camera without any issues and no drivers needed there. I also tried installing the firmare update from the T Sonic website to no avail. Have lost all hope. Please help. I have an Windows XP F1 partition on my PC (Office laptop). Could this be the issue? Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

Formatting T.sonic using the “Quick Format” or “Full Format” option in Windows destroys the

Hello, I was given it an transcend t.sonic 610 as a present. So far so good... But now: The installation CD was not part of the present! What do I do to get the nessecary drivers? And: What do I do to...

No drivers are required if you have windows ME, 2000, or XP. These Windows operating systems have built-in drivers to support T.sonic.
Simply plug your T.sonic into an available USB port and Windows will install the files needed. A
new Removable Disk drive with a newly assigned drive letter will appear in the My Computer
window.
If you would like to study the user manual of this device, it could be downloaded:

Transcend ipod not detecting properly in computers

The Transcend T.sonic 310 MP3Player is designed to run on windows98SE there are drivers available for windows 98SE at http://www.file-drivers.com/mp3_players/transcend/t_sonic_310.html additionally the utility software works with windows 98SE, Win20, WinXP and WinME. The Utility software must be loaded onto the required PC before installing thedriver. The Transcend website does not provide drivers for other versionsof windows. You did not state wether you have the 512mb or 1gb player but the drivers are no different. You can find full details of the drivers list, software and manuals here for download. please note thatnotall PC's are100% IBM compatible, eg; Tulip, Compaq, olliveti, etc and require device drivers directfrom the manufacturer if they are supported. http://www.transcendusa.com/Support/DLCenter/index.asp?LangNo=0&ItemID=TS1GMP310&axn=SRH1_RLT&DLKeyWd=T.sonic 310
If you are trying to install on another machine with windows98SE and have a driver installation disk and you are trying to install the drivers automatically, I would suggest that you install the device manually through the device wizard, when you get to the part where it asks what device you are installing select 'have disk' then browse to the drive location where the driver files are located and select ok. if this fails to work then the problem is one of incompatability. I hope this helps
