  1. Make sure that your wireless mini card is properly installed into your computer. You can check the status of your wireless adapter by going to Control Panel>System>Device Manager. Then go to Network adapters and look for ralink wireless mini card. Right click on it and click properties then look for device status. It should state there, Device is working properly. Otherwise, there is a problem in the installation of the adapter.
  2. Then, verify the wireless settings that are enabled in your router by accessing your router's setup page.
  3. Take note of the SSID or wireless network name and the security enabled in your router.
  4. Configure your computer that has the wireless adapter with the same wireless settings in your router.
Hope this helps!

Sony UWA-NA1 - no available driver for Windows? what specs does it have? It seems that with a Giga Juke Hifi-stereo, it will only communicate with WEP encryption, but the Wireless Giga Juke player station...

I found it! Sony UWA-NA1 USB Wireless Adaptor is a OEM products of Quanta Microsystems Inc, it's using the same USB adaptor as Ralink RT73 USB Wireless LAN card with RT2571WF chipset. I did it work ok in window 7 64-bit. But in the link below, its support XP, Vista as well.
1. Download Drivers for XP/Vista/Win7 here: http://www.station-drivers.com/page/ralink.htmChoose Ralink RT257x/RT2671/RT520x (RT73 series USB Wireless LAN)
2. After download it, run it to install the Ralink Wireless App, check for the driver only. When it done, find the folder it has installed. 3. Open device manager in window managerment, choose the Wireless USB (have no driver with yellow !), right-click, update driver software..
3.a Click "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer". Find the "Network adaptor" in the category devices list, click on it, OK.
3.b In a new window name "Select Network Adapter", choose "Have Disk..." then browse the path of folder Ralink has installed. Your will see a file "netr7364.inf" (may be in XP-32bit or Win7 32bit you will a difference *.inf file). Click on it, click open, then OK.
3.c In the left box, find Ralink Technology Corp. click on it, the find RT73 USB Wireless LAN card, then click NEXT, a "Update Driver Warning" pop-up will appears, just click yes. Then windows will install the driver for Sony UWA-NA1 as "RT73 USB Wireless Card". Good luck! (You may try another devices in the list at your own at risk)P/s: Sorry for my bad english! Ralink wireless lan card not exist

You have to remove the PCI card or USB from the computer, uninstall the software. Reboot, now install the software. Power off computer. Install network card or USB, then power on computer.

The key is that you have to install software before installing hardware.

Wmp54gv4 pci driver will not install.

Are you using the latest Ralink driver www.ralinktech.com , and, from the docs they provide, they indicate -

Ralink RT61 and RT2500 series miniport drivers require NDIS 5.0, NDIS 5.1 or NDIS 6.0 to operate in Microsoft Windows. NOTE: UNINSTALL OEM PROVIDED PACKAGE BEFORE RUNNING THIS RALINK PACKAGE.

Confrim these instructions have been followed.

You can also contact them.

Sorry I can't provide an exact solution, but this should get you on track, and it's the type of problem that likely only Ralink knows about, if at all.

Unable to connect to the Internet

Check to see if your wireless card is displayed under “Network Adaptors” in “Device Manager”. You can access the "Device Manager" by going to the 'Control Panel", "Administrative Tools", "Computer Management" and select "Device Manager" located in the left side column. If it is detected and there are no alerts or errors, try uninstalling the wi-fi card, reboot the laptop and reinstall the drivers.
