Easy way is to sort mail according to size and delete the large files you don't need anymore.
next delete emails from people who you don't interact with anymore
thirdly pull good info out of your mail (such as vids, clips, info, etc) and put it into a folder on your desktop, then go back and delete the mail.
lastly sort through things you have completed already and delete them, then delete the emails in sent items. all these steps should free up alot of space.

If your mail has an Archiving capability you can go that route or you may have to copy and paste it to a folder on your HDD. It really depends on what mail you use!

How do I empty or check my mailbox

With Webmail, you need to empty the Trash folder. With Thunderbird, Mail, OE, Outlook, or another mail program, you need to change the Account settings to remove the mail from the server when deleted.

If this is a problem with a the mailbox on a phone, you posted to the wrong category, "Problem with PC Desktops" and should possibly call the phone provider for instructions, default password, etc..

Scams and Phishing on Yahoo! Mail.

If you receive an email asking you to update your banking details or that you've won a huge sum of money from Yahoo! then these are scams. Firstly a bank will NEVER ask you to update your account details through an email, don't under any circumstances click on any links within a mail like this. Secondly, when you receive a mail stating that YOU have won a huge sum of money from some lottery in some foreign country or from Yahoo! this too is fake. The Yahoo! Corporation in Holland Lottery scam is one of them. Again don't by any means reply to it or send them any of your personal information. Contact Yahoo! here and click on Mail under M in the list, this will take you to a page to login. Login, then click on the heading Got Spam? Report it here as shown in the following picture:

This will take you to a page where you need to tell Yahoo! everything about the scam, including the Full Headers and Contents of the mail. I will explain how to get the full headers of an e-mail now.

How to copy the full Headers in Yahoo Mail!
1) With the e-mail open, click Actions to the top right.

2) This will display a drop down menu shown here:

3) Click on Full Header to display the following window:

4) Copy the entire text (all the words in this window) to the headers box:

5) Then copy the contents of the mail to the next box:

6) And then click submit.

Easy as that! This will enable Yahoo! to filter such scam e-mails in the main server and prohibit them from entering anyone's account in the future, and it's all thanks to you!! Good Job! Feel great, you have just saved a huge amount of people from falling for these ingenious scams.

YOUR MAILBOX ACCOUNT HAS BEEN HACKED!

So you notice someone has been doing things in your mailbox! and you are still able to log in to your mail! Its your lucky day!
Because the attacker knows your password and can log in to your account with full privilegies anytime, being in position to change your mailbox account password making you locked out from your own mailbox with the result ACCESS DENIED!!!
You have a TROJAN HORSE installed in your computer that sends everything you write on your computer directly to the attacker.

SOLUTION: Download antivirus, run scan and as soon you are virusfree log in to your mailaccount and change your password.
Now you have locked the attacker out off your account.
Do this as soon as possible,
because the attacker might also se your attempt to clean your computer. If the attacker is faster than you he might change your mail ACCOUNT AND LOCK YOU OUT FOR EVER.....

Be fast, and good luck! if this was useful,Please vote!

Hi

Pls check if if you have enough free space in the mail box as the sent mails will also be counted towards the size.
Pls delete unwanted mails and also sent mails.
Pls check with the mail server settings i.e. incoming mail server and outgoing mail server information.
