When we purchased our Toshiba laptop, Microsoft Office 12 was pre-installed when we received the computer. Now I cannot print things off of the Internet. I am asked to enter the product code. Where would I locate this information?

Re: Product Code for Microsoft Office 12
You need to buy it. the pre installed Microsoft Office on the laptop is time limited. after that time you need to buy it. go to support.microsoft.com and purchase the product. they will give you the serial key.
option is uninstall the Micosoft Office, and install the open office (it has the exact function as Office) and it is FREE. go to http:\\www.openoffice.org download the open office 3.0.
COST YOU NOTHING. MAY BE HALF HOUR OF WORK.

The product key for Microsoft Office Standard 2007 is a 25-character code comprised of letters and numbers. The product key is unique for each copy.
If you purchased the CD/DVD version of Microsoft Office 2007, the product key will be located on the product case or other packaging, or in the documentation within the case.
If you purchased a computer that came pre-installed with Microsoft Office 2007, the product key will either be in the computer's documentation, or on the case of the computer itself.
If you purchased an online downloadable version of Microsoft Office 2007, the product key will be in the confirmation e-mail you received after making the purchase.
A product key would be used to activate a product on your computer. In most cases such as with pre-installed software, there may be a limited-time trial period or a limited number times for product starts with full functionality after which you must acquire a product key with which to do the activation. There are a number of software products that may have come with the purchase of your computer ranging from anti-virus through to Microsoft Office. For more information, click on the following link to Microsoft's Knowledge Base Frequently Asked Questions about this topic. Once there, review the More Information section for answers to specific questions and also see the References section about how to obtain a product key for the Microsoft Office product should you have it pre-installed and that is what is asking for a product key. For other software products, you will have to click on the product's help tab or browse the respective manufacturer's web site.
When you purchase Microsoft Office (Student Edition) You will get the installation CD and the product installation code. If you want a free program then download - OPEN OFFICE it is a full-featured office suite that's compatiblewith Microsoft Office.http://www.openoffice.org/
Unless you purchased the Office Home & Student 2007 software, it's likely that you simply have the trial version that comes pre-installed on many popular computers (e.g., HP, Dell, Gateway, Toshiba, etc.) Therefore, I recommend checking all of the documents that you received with your computer. If you purchased the software, you should be able to find the product key on one of the documents that accompanied your computer.
Unfortunately, these are trial versions that come pre-installed with Windows. You do not have the software because the full version was not included in your purchase. Good news, though. The 2007 Student & Teacher (academic) version, which includes Excel, Powerpoint, and Word, is only $79 at newegg.com and it has free shipping.
