If you are using Outlook Express, select Tools>Options>Send tab.

There is a menu item to "Save a copy of sent messages in the "Sent Items" folder".

Check the box.

If using another program, comment back.

Recovering deleted items in Outlook 2003 and 2007

If you accidently deleted items like Emails, contacts, calendar, tasks, etc from your mailbox using Outlook, you can recover them as they are first transferred to the Deleted Items folder of that mailbox. But even if you delete them from the Deleted Items folder you can still recover them. This feature is enabled by default in Outlook 2007 but if you are using 2003 then you'll have to modify System registry.
Enabling recovery of deleted items in Outlook 2003
1. Start Registry Editor(Regedt32.exe).
2. Locate and click the following key in the registry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftExchangeClientOptions
3. On the Edit menu, click Add Value, and then add the following registry value:
Value name: DumpsterAlwaysOn
Data type: DWORD
Value data: 1
4. Close the Registry Editor.
Now when you start Microsoft Outlook 2003 you'll be able to see a new option- Recover Deleted Items in the tools menu.
Recovering deleted items in Outlook 2007:
1. In the folder from where you deleted the item, or in the Deleted Items folder, click
2. Recover Deleted Items on the Tools menu.
Click an item and then click Recover Selected Items
NOTE: If an item doesn't appear in the Recover Deleted Items dialog box then you can't recover it.

Advent SE1101 - sent items not copied to sent items folder? There is a tick in the box to indicate this should happen

Sometime the settings don't get properly set. Uncheck the settings that are checked but not working then click on "OK" until your out.
Reboot your computer, go in recheck the items that weren't working and click "OK" until your out again.
This should correct the problem. If not you probably have either a corrupt BIOS/CMOS or a corrupt Operation System.

Outlook express 6.0 outbox problems

This is a common problem with outlook express. The files have become too large for outlook express. I recommend blowing out all the emails. Try first empty the deleted items. If it will not delete. You need to find the folder associated with this identity. That would be in C drive then documents and settings then your username then application data (hidden folder) then identities. There will be a folder with a crazy name of numbers and letters. Go into this folder and you will see your inbox folder and outbox, sent box etc. Delete the folders that you dont have important emails in and this will dump that whole box. Make sure outlook express is closed when you do this. When you reopen outlook express it will recreate these folders empty. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

I have sent an email to a Yahoo account, and I need to recall that email before it is read. This is IMPORTANT. I have already attempted to recall it through my Microsoft Outlook account from which it was...

I don't think so, thats kinda like trying to stop the postman after he picked up the mail, its out of your hands now. I hope it wasn't personal info where someone could steal your Identity.

Can't send mail from outbox

If there is a limit on your storage space you may have to delete some items from your inbox, sent box, and even empty your deleted folder.

I want to recall the last email sent

Hi Pete 1221,

If you are using Microsoft Outlook, then you can recall the email you sent by going to the "Sent Items" folder then open the message click on the ACTIONS menu on the top then choose "Recall This Message". It should be able to get the message back, unless the recepient already read the email.

I don't know about the programs, but some of the programs have something similar to this also, so you need to check HELP function of the program. For online emails like GMAIL or Yahoo! it usually doesn't have the option to retrieve the message back after you sent it in.

Hope this helps!

Peace! :)
