Question about Dell 924 All-in-One InkJet Printer

DELL 924 iNKJET All In One Printer

I cannot get my scanner to work Everything else works, but the "Mode: Scanner" does not work. What can be wrong? Eeverything is set up right.

    Have the same problem, but have no CDs to help... The manual says I need an All-In-One program, but not available on Dell's website...

Ok well I've had this same problem before....what I did was insert the Dell AIO 924 CDs and did the installations, after installation completes you should be able to acess the Dell All in One Center at which point you should be able to scan.

Printer works, scanner/copy does not


The problem could be because of ONE out of TWO problems listed below. Try the steps recommended and it should fix the problem.

Printer - scan problem


it may happen due to following resons:-

1) please load the driver carefully.
2) test your scanner with default setting.
3) when you are switching all in one device see that scanner can find its home position or not.
4) use approprate application and resolution to scan your image.
5) specify proper path from where your scanner gets the document to scan.

Hope after that your scanner will work properly.

Scanner problem


I have a Dell Photo A10 924 Printer. If you click on the Printer Icon and select Microsoft Sanner and Camera Wizard it should scan in OK>

Can't change cartridge on Photo 924.


Try changing the task setting of the printer. When in copy mode I also had the problem of the cartridge carriage hiding out left, but switching to maintenance mode before lifting the scanner solved the problem for me.

Scanner won't work on Dell 924


Same thing happened to me, only different model.

First, make sure you have the right drivers (and by that I mean 32-bit or 64-bit).

Go to control panel and remove your previous installation; reboot; reload the drivers with your All-In-One UNPLUGGED until they tell you to plug it in.

That was the trick that worked for me. Good Luck.

you may need to install the whole cd package w/c includes the scanning application program, or you can try using a sifferent software like the one in windows, under accessories look for scanner, if your system cannot find the scanner, then the driver for the scanner wasnt fully or not yet installed,

pls look for the scanner software, what you have installed is only for the printer alone.

Scanner issues


disconnect the printer from the computer and also unplug the power adapter of the printer , wait for 30 seconds and reconnect the power adapter and try to copy a document , if it works then there are no issues with the scanner.

if it still gives you the msg scanner busy. then click on start ----->click on RUN-----> type "control printers" click OK , right click on dell AIO 924 and then click "cancel all documents".
restart the printer and then try scanning.

Dell photo 924 - scanner does not work



Hi,
select the scan problems in the below mentioned guide , it would take you to the solution, if its a software fault.There is nothing much we can do if the scanner bed is faulty except for getting the printer replaced if under warranty
