Question about Packard Bell AudioDream MP3 Player

1 Answer

Playback Last time I deleted all audio files and uploaded the new ones, it doesn't start playing automattically. In addition, it doesn't keep in memory the setting e.g. shuffle and rock options, that i used last time. Even if you set them ones again, as soon as you turn it off and turn it on again, you need to set everything back and push play((( Before it, evrything was ok. Tell me what's wrong with it?

Re: Playback

Hi Vitt, There are two ways to switch off the AudioDream, the power switch or holding the Menu button for 5-6 seconds. When the power switch is used changes in the settings are not saved to memory. After changing settings always power down the AudioDream by pressing the Menu button. This will save the changes you made. Have a good one! El Duderino

Creative Zen V Plus Bookmarks

A little known feature on this player is the ability to use bookmarks, up to 10 of them. I downloaded a .msf file from a Sony audio recorder. Please advice how I could playback this audio .msf file.

It seems like you've downloaded the wrong files...
As mentioned at Sony's FAQ:
MSGLIST.MSF is a file that contains information such as the order of folders, playback order of audio files and recording date and time. If user connects the recorder to the computer, the MSGLIST.MSF files are displayed but do not delete or change these files. If these files are operated, the saved files may be broken or the recorder may not work correctly.

The right way to copy your recordings is explained here...

If you are satisfied, rate my solution with 4 "thumbs" or (even better) add a testimonial.

Good luck and Best regards,

Looks like it only plays .mtv files, so a converter may be needed before uploading video files to the 610.

How long is my Trio supposed to play? I'm only getting 4 hours on a full charge.

As per the company specifications it should provide up to 8 Hours of Continuous Playback. I'd suggest that you set the light out time at 10 seconds keep power saving mode and reduce the brightness. Also dont play at full volume.

This will help you to increase the playback time. Though not up to 8 hours. Make sure not to overcharge the battery.

Also the video playback time is 3-4 hours. As you have not specified whether you are reffering to audio or video playback time, so I am assuming its audio playback time. If its video or mixed then your player is ok..

Hope this helps..

I have a sony walkman mp3 player nwz-s544. some songs will play but most will not. When I try to listen it says cannot play. Please connect to compliant software and update license information. What is...

Audio playback formats:The most common audio format(s) the player will recognize and be able to play.
These include:

Apple Lossless: Apple (Mac) format for an uncompressed sound file
AAC: Advanced Audio Coding
ATRAC: Adaptive TRansform Acoustic Coupling
FLAC: Free Lossless Audio Codec
MPEG: Moving Picture Experts Group
OGG: Short for Ogg Vorbis, a free, open source music format
WAV: Uncompressed Windows standard for waveform audio files
WMA: Windows Media Audio

make sure all your files are at least one of those codecs
you can also uninstall any software then reinstall and start from the beginning as new

Rca junk

When RCA first came out with the Lyra series the only way to get music onto the device was by using musicmatch jukebox that would convert your mp3 file to mpy before downloading it to the device. But now RCA has come out with a new firm ware update for these mp3 players that improved the players playback quality plus enabled it to use .WMA files. so first go to RCA support and find your player and download the firmware upgrade and install to your player its very easy and instructions are at the same site. You can now convert your music to .wma or use the free Real player that will convert mp3 to wma at the kbps that you request before loading it on. If your music is all ready in wma format you can use windows media player to send the files to your player. One last thing the .wma files that you put on your Lyra player need to be at least 128kbps or higher enhanced playback quality of wma files (160 kbps to 256 kbps).

Philips GoGear: delete music from library & are there any Unicode

Here's what happened: When you first synced your GoGear to Windows Media Player, you may have set up the automatic sync option. When this option is selected,Windows Media Player will add EVERY song, picture, etc from your Library on your computer to the GoGear. Now, every time you sync you device, it adds every new file from your computer into the GoGear automatically.

Here's what you want to do (this process assumes you have Windows Media Plaer 11 and windows XP - if you have another version, just let me know and I will give you modified instructions - reply to the FixYa website, not to my personal e-mail address):
1) Backup all files stored on your GoGear, as this process will delete all files from your GoGear
2) Go into Windows Media Player 11 with your GoGear connected to the computer (it will automatically sync and add new files one last time), move the mouse cursor over to the sync tab; a small black arrow will appear under the word "Sync"; click on the small black arrow and a dropdown menu will appear; select "Portbale media device" from the dropdown menu, and another dropdown menu will appear; select "Set Up sync"; a window will appear with some information on your device - uncheck the box that says "Sync this device automatically"; click Finish; This will eliminate the problem of Windows always adding songs/files you don't want into your player
3) As long as the GoGear now says, "OK to disconnect from PC," then open up Philips Device Manager (Start --> All Programs --> Philips)
4) Click on the Repair Tab, and look for a msg that says connect the player while holding the volume + button
5) Disconnect the GoGear from the computer and turn the GoGear off - hold in the volume + button and continue to hold it as you reconnect the GoGear to the computer; after holding the volume + button for up to 20 or 30 seconds, a window will open up saying that your device is being repaired (now you can let go of the volume + button); after the repair is succesfully complete, your GoGear will be good as new
6) you will have to re-add all your files (only the ones you want in there) to the GoGear as the Repair process has deleted all files on the device; as long as you followed the process in Step 2 above, then Windows Media Player will no longer add the files you DON'T want to the GoGear
