It is probably due to the program you are using to convert it. It may help you to disclose your converter program and tell us what media you are converting to and from!

Converted Videos won't play on my Ematic E6 jr

I suggest you try this conversion program and if it works the uninstall the other conversion programs.
Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine the type of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI and WMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX. If your player cannot play a video then it is an incompatible video file format, then you need to convert that video file to a format that your MP3 player uses. After video conversion then copy the video files to your MP3 player using the USB cable from your computer. How to convert a videos

Launch your video converter program if you have one.

If you do not have a video converter program, consider free programs such as AVC Video Converter http://download.cnet.com/any-video-converter/3000-2194_4-10661456.html

or

Prism Video Converter

These programs are cross-platform applications, compatible with both Windows and Mac OS X operating systems.

Click "Add Files" or "Add Video," depending on the program that you are using.

Locate the video file you want to convert from the folder you saved it in, then click "Open" to import it to the video converter program.

Play your video on the monitor to ensure that it is the video that you want to convert.

Select the video format you want to convert your video to in the "Output format" or "Profile" window.

Choose from a number of video formats, such as MP4, AVI, MOV or WMV. Different models of MP3 players use different video formats, so refer to your MP3 player's documentation for the compatible format.

Select the output video size you want to use. Video sizes vary with different MP3 players. Some MP3 players support 320x240, while others support 640x480.

Refer to your MP3 player's documentation for the supported video size.

Select the audio codec that you want to use for your output video file.

Some of the most common audio formats include MP3, WMA, AAC and WAV.

Audio codecs compress audio with different output quality settings, so refer to your MP3 player's documentation for the supported audio codec.

Select 2 or "Stereo" in the channels box for a balanced left and right audio output.

Click "Browse" and select the folder where you want to save the output video.

Select a folder or location that you will be able to remember and access quickly.

Click "Convert/Encode" to begin the video conversion process.

A status bar displays the progress of the conversion.

When the process is finished, your video is in the format that you selected

hope this helps

What file extension do i have to put at the end of a video file in order for my samsung phone s5620

You just cannot rename the video file with the right file extension so you can view it on the cell phone. The video file needs to be converted to the video format that you cell phone uses.
Check your cell phone's video format and use a video conversion program to convert the movie file. There are free video conversion programs on the Internet. Use Google to search for these programs.

My sony ericson xperia x10 mini wont let me play my music files i keep getting an erra message saying file not supported how do i amend this problem

xperia x10 supported video and audio formats are listed below:
Supported Audio Formats MP3/eAAC+/WMA/WAV
Supported Video Formats MP4/H.263/H.264/WMV

I am not sure what format of video files did you put in your phone. If your imported audio format is not one of its playable video format, you have to transcode it to one of listed above.

As video/audio converter, Aunsoft Video Converter is the recommended program to convert video and audio files to right format for Sony Ericsson Phone.

Good luck.

I downloaded a video from youtube to my mp4 player, but it said it had a video file format error.

The videos downloaded from YouTube is FLV and your MP4 cannot read FLV file so it will report a format error. You can check this tutorial with Leawo Free YouTube Downloader - http://www.leawo.com/video/youtube-mp4.html

Cant see video from youtube

The PSP only reads mp4 type video files. You cannot use youtube videos directly on the PSP. However, there is a way to convert them. You can click into the following application. I have this myself, so that I can convert flash videos to MP4 format to play on my PSP:

http://www.imtoo.com/youtube-video-converter.html

You just convert from youtube to mp4 format with the program above and transfer the mp4 file to your PSP and it will work just fine. You can download a free demo of the ImToo program, but it will convert only up to 3 minutes of video.

Finding format type WMV

The Philips Media Converter only recognizes certain file types. If it is not recognizing the file format of the videos that you have, you will need to download a free program called Riva FLV Encoder - you can use this program to convert your videos to AVI format - it takes a while - if your video is 15 minutes, it will take about 15 minutes to convert it, usually. Once the videos are in AVI format the Philips Media Converter will recognize them.

Transfer videos to my sony nwz-s616f

Firstly; is it in the right format? You say MP4, but the video needs to be specifically MP4 - 320x240 screen resolution. It won't play if the resolution is incorrect.

So get that fixed up first if that's what's wrong (http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/ has a great program to convert videos to MP4). If not, sometimes my computer doesn't allow me to put files on it one way, but it will another, so try copy/paste instead of drop and drag. Hope that helps.
