Question about Pioneer AVIC-N2 Car DVD Player

XM displaying - (XM is updating) in navi screen

I installed the GEX-P10XMT, Wile driving I turned on the Navi screen and it kept popping up a display of XM is updating. Is there a solution to this problem or will it continue to display this wile listening to XM ? Also the Vehicle Dynamics Display will not function ( I can NOT access it). If you have any info on these issues please let me know. Thank you !!!

I had the same problem and resolved it by unplugging the data cable. Make sure its the data cable and not the ip-bus cable that you unplug. That should work. The problem is when you have a NavTraffic compatible unit but are not subscribed to NavTraffic, it tries to update it. But because there isn't a subscription for navtraffic it fails to update. Unplugging the data cable will make the unit think that the xm receiver is not compatible with navtraffic and will make that message go away. You will still be able to receive xm channels without the data cable being plugged in.

take the navi card out and stick it in your computer then partition it then update it online with new navi software reinstall the card this should fix your problem

My Jensen VW9424 Navi unit doesn't keep the correct time. The unit displayed a time 30 minutes ahead of the correct time after installation. Several attempts have been made to set the correct time;...

you have to turn off the gps time there is a setting in the menu that you turn off navigation sync or something like that. Go to setup and nav time. It is whatever setting has to do with navigation time

D3 navigation reads the wrong location of vehicle/radio

for some strange reason these units need the navigation/GPS antenna to get accurate range i had this problem with a install in Canada it said i was driving on water..........installed a GPS pioneer antenna and i was in my zone 2ft from actual location and no longer in the water ....this unit like all gets glitches from time to time and can reset sometimes on there own but because you are surrounded by water it is confused with actual location ....hope i was able to help you

Time settings

Press the reset button. It the small flush button on the faceplate. Insert the navi disc, at start up it would ask you to enter daylight saving mode or not(+/-). The graphics are in the navi manu, or you can import pictures from cd or dvd that have picture files. Goodluck.
