Hello..just moved my desk top to new desk..everything is fine..but mouse won t work..while it was unplugged i cleaned keyboard..monitor with soft cloth..can u tell me why my mouse won t work

IF it's a serial mouse (meaning green round connector) it's probably not plugged in correctly. Now these are not plug and play so you need to reboot your system in order for it to work. Try that.

Advent SE1101 - sent items not copied to sent items folder? There is a tick in the box to indicate this should happen

Sometime the settings don't get properly set. Uncheck the settings that are checked but not working then click on "OK" until your out.
Reboot your computer, go in recheck the items that weren't working and click "OK" until your out again.
This should correct the problem. If not you probably have either a corrupt BIOS/CMOS or a corrupt Operation System.

How do i reboot my laptop advent 7087

Rebooting is a function of the operating system and Ctrl Alt Del, works the same on all hardware platforms or you can choose the shutdown / reboot option from the start menu.

If the operating system has hung completely most machines will switch off if you just hold the power button down for 5 seconds or so. This should only be used as a last resort when nothing else will shut the computer is down. This is equivalent to pulling the plug out of the wall for a desk top computer.

Beyond that you can disconnect the power and pull the battery out but it should never come to that.

I hope this answer matches your question.

Two pcs running vista home edition wired to router ok. laptop wireless ok. advent pc running windows xp wireless cannot see belkin router but can see outher router in my area. router is a belkin N wireless...

Check the router settings, if the router is set to only use 802.11N wireless it won't pick up a computer that is using 802.11G or 802.11B wireless.

Good luck

No sound coming out of my laptop it's been working perfectly for almost a year until last week when I unplugg me headset and the sound is not coming out!built in speakers but if I plug in my headset it...

you could try to use system restore, to restore it back to an operational point before last week.

reboot with the headphones in, then take them out, then restart again.

No sound

make sure that the speaker cables colored plug match that of what is on the back of the computer, also make sure that the volume control console is set for the correct output. Lastly, if none of these work, try uninstalling the audio device by right clicking my computer, select properties, go to hardware, and click device manager and thenright click the audio device and click uninstall, then reboot, and follow the instructions that come up when the computer reboots, and see if that works.
