Over time the TV volume and the SurroundBar volume get out of sync and we keep having to manually adjust the SurroundBar volume to match them up. We are currently using the DirectTV remote to control

Unfortunately, the system does not work well around other wireless devices. When watching Blu-rays and listening to music, the system works fine, but when I play my Wii or Xbox 360 the subwoofer loses its connection to the bar and stops working. Sometimes I can play for up to an hour without the sub going out of sync, but it always ends up happening. Many times and several times in a row it would immediately go after sync right after I fixed the problem. Polk lists the wireless sub as a feature but it's actually the worst part of the package for anyone with other wireless devices in the same room.

Check the online link to the PDF for more information about sync instructions. http://a248.e.akamai.net/pix.crutchfield.com/Manuals/107/107SB6KIHT.PDF

Without knowing your operating system, I will assume you are using windows. I would have you try to ping google.com and see if you get a response. To do it, go to start-run and type in "cmd". This will bring up a black box and you just need to type in "ping google.com" and see if you receive 4 out of 4 responses back.
If you get them all back, then try getting a different browser, firefox or chrome. You can download it to a different computer and save it to a thumb drive.
I would also point you to microsoft's trouble shooting guide for no browse issues.

Hello, I recently installed a wireless router on my desktop home computer. Immediately upon installing the router, my Labtec desktop speakers quit producing sound. The speakers do work on another...

Hmmm.. sounds like assignments got crossed/reassigned possibly when the router was installed.

Have you looked down the list of System Hardware (control panel) to see if you have any Exclamation Marks that indicate a problem to look at?

Have you looked at the settings on the speakers in the computer? i.e. mute, equalizers, volume sliders, and even some audio software differentiates between the different connections on the back and front of your computer. Try clicking or right-clicking on the little speaker in your system tray (the icons at the end of the Start bar).. you may even have an icon in there for an audio program that you want to check out.

You can try a previous restore point, but pay special note of anything you've installed or changed since that time.

Just installing software for the router shouldn't necessitate opening up the computer, although an old tactic would be to pull the sound card out and reseat it back into the slot. Since you don't want to do that, I don't think you're missing anything unless you bumped it by accident when you were attaching the cable to the router. Since it was "immediate" I would be focused on software issues as you indicate.

You might even check out the support for the Labtec website rather than the MS route you've taken already.

Good luck!!

8^)

Is there a way to connect my Dell MMS 5650 speakers to a Macbook Pro laptop or a wireless router? Where can I find cables for converting? Thanks!

The speakers should directly connect to the "line-out" socket on your Macbook computer, without any need for adapters.

I have _never_ seen a wireless router that had _any_ "audio" capability -- what you're asking for seems to be unreasonable.

Any "Dollar Store" or the "big-box" stores (such as Best Buy, Office Depot, Staples, Future Shop, Wal-Mart) should have adapter-cables.

After i install wireless router linksey model wrt160nv3 i get that that clicking sound inmy right speakers.

Just relocate the speakers, try moving them away reception and transmission gadgets, the wireless connection just like celphones emits interferences picked up by speakers,
this also implies like when you put a mobile phone on top of a speaker and then someone calls, the speaker sounds off distinct sound patterns.

Installing speakers

Friend first you have to check on your recycle bin if those files you have deleted is still there, if it is still there you have to restore those files.
If you are using sound card and you have your driver with you just install the driver and carefully read and follow its instructions. then there you go.
If your PC has a built inn sound card and if you are using windows OS and you have a windows media player driver then install it by carefully reading the instructions.
After doing this restart your computer and you can use again your speakers.
P.S. if this is be of help please rate me. Thanks!
