Question about Minolta EP1030/1030F CS/PRO Copier
I have an old Minolta EP 2030 CS Pro copier with 2 paper trays, automatic document feeder, sorter and no duplex. It recently gave me an error code of C0410. I was able to determine that for my machine, the code resfers to "exposure lamp timing wrong" and was able to get rid of the code by pressing the reset button on the board in the back of the machine. The exposure lamp timing continues to be wrong, though. When the machine is first turned on, you hear the normal ticking sound of warming up while waiting for the ready indicator light to go on. But then, the ticking continues and the exposure lamp keeps going on for about 1 second at regular 20 second intervals. If you try to make copies, the machine shuts itself off and the C0410 code comes back on again. Pressing the energy saver button stops the exposure lamp from going on, but of course, also prohibits you from making copies. The exposure lamp was replaced about a year ago. Is there any simple way to reset the exposure lamp timing and fix this problem? Also, I don't know if it means anything or not, but there is a board on the rear of the document feeder with LEDs in a row which blinks regularly. The machine is over 9 years old and I always had a service agreement with Konica Minolta, but they wouldn't sell me a new agreement because of the age of the machine and finances just don't allow for a new one. Thanks for your help!

"Exposure lamp timing wrong" simply means that the lamp is coming on at a time when it should not be coming on. It is not a problem with the lamp itself. It is most likely a power supply problem. There is probably no simple fix.
Just because Konica Minolta no longer will sell you an agreement does not mean that you cannot get the copier serviced. There are plenty of independent repair agencies that would love to service your copier, unless you are in a really remote location.
The EP2030 was one of the last Minolta analog copiers, and parts are still readily available.
