Drivers need to be updated from time to time to keep up with the new updates in your pc!
Driver Update Software Recommended: @ http://www.driversupdate.org/?gclid=CKjWiPnXyZgCFQECGgodC1QR0g
Go to the above site and click on DOWNLOAD NOW. This will install a prized program to update and install all your drivers. The program will appear on your desktop as ParetoLogicDriverCure. Run it often to keep all your drivers up to date!
If this doesn't work please get back to me and let me know! jack
OK, I found the problem -- if you open photoshop with the mouse (whether it be through the quicklaunch bar, start menu, or desktop icon), the pressure sensitivity doesn't work. If you open it with the stylus or function button (I have a function button mapped for photoshop now because of this, since there's no icon on my tablet's display with how I have my display set up) the pressure sensitivity works fine.
A quick KIND of fix, but until Adobe actually does something about it, this is probably the easiest way to do it.
I was having the same problems, it only occurred when i updated the tablet driver to v. 5.2.1-6. So i've downgraded to the one that came with my graphire3 (tablet driver v. 5.2.0) ...hope this helps
Wacom Driver v. 5.2.0 for Graphire3
How do I restore my Intus2 grip Pen on my Wacom tablet when it stops working due to various reasons; hitting the edge of the tablet area, drawing errors, etc.? I keep having to restart program and computer to restore it. Kinda a pain when it happens continuously. I am working in CS4 on Mac OS W vrsn 10.5.6. I am having this problem working in CS4 Illustrator probably would happen in Photoshop as well. Any solutions for resetting pen without having to restart each time??
I've had a similar problem - I unplugged the tablet from the PC and back in again, the PC recognised it as new and reinstalled it straight away (this is on XP). The first time the driver stopped responding I had unplugged the tablet because intended to deal with problem later. Plugged back in - worked. Twice now. I've restarted to see if the driver stopped again and if I would have to re-plug the tablet, didn't need to, I guess it's a solution to keep in mind next time this comes up.
I struggled with this tablet on my mac for a while now. Yesterday, I contacted firstname.lastname@example.org and got a prompt reply. Here is a link to the latest driver. Seems to work with Photoshop CS4.
http://www.uc-logic.com/download/driver/OS%20X_PenTablet_%20Driver1.24.1.zip Please kindly uninstall the previous driver (GO】-->【Applications】-->【PenTablet Setting】-->【Uninstall PenTablet Driver】) before you install the new driver. Thank you. Besides, please do not plug the tablet into pc before the driver installation is done.
