SOURCE: Miele Dryer problem

Sounds like the sensors is dirty, or there is scale or deposits in the bottle. Clean out the bottle with a descaler if it has any scale (white or brown) deposits in it. If it is clear and still a problem, the sensors is inside the bottle holding section. Make sure there is not any fluff or dirt in there by giving it a hoover outand a gentle brush.

The filters may be clear but is the exhaust blocked or obstructed in any way? If there's an exhaust hose then also check that it's not been crushed or restricted by any sharp kinks in it's run.

Something is certainly causing an airflow problem as it's causing the machine to overheat and cut out.

I'm unfamiliar with your exact model, but I've found that some dryer designs are also prone to getting a restrictive build up of dust or lint in places the designers never envisaged and to clear those kinds of blockages I've successfully used vacuum cleaners set to blow or **** as needed and in the worst cases have needed to partially dismantle a machine to clear out the obstruction: you'll be surprised what can end up inside if you have children or pets...

If the dryer has dryness sensor strips they may have a coating on them repelling moisture from wet clothes. The brains might think them clothes is dry. Clean the sensors with windex and party on.

I would take the vent off entirely and run it like that, if the alarms go away your problem is more than likely in the wall somewhere and a service will need to be called to clear the obstruction, if it does return the blower wheel or housing may be damaged.

Check that the exhaust air outlet hose (if fitted) is not obstructed or crushed. If not fitted, check that the exhaust air outlet is not blocked nor too close to anything which may impede the flow of exhaust air. Also check that the air inlets are not blocked.

Basically your machine "thinks" that it has an airflow obstruction, and usually that's caused by the filters. If that's not the case then you'll have to call in a repair technician to correctly diagnose the fault. The cause is then likely to be a simple failure of a switch or sensor and a relatively cheap and fast repair, especially if your machine is under warranty.

Drier will keep stopping mid cycle with a filter led coming on...even though the filter is cleaned.

Experience shows that a fair percentage of fluff actually enters the body of the drier, and obstructs airflow. This causes the heater element to exceed safe temperatures, and a 'Filter' warning occurs.

Unplug the appliance, remove the rear cover, and remove what fluff you can, using a clean paintbrush to reach behind certain cover plates (etc.).
This should solve the problem.
