Regarding the missing "solutioncenter.msi", try re-installing the software that came with your printer or all-in-one. This may require removing the printer software first. This answer was posted on one of the HP forums.

In the future, it will help if you include the model number of your computer and printer.

I keep getting Solution Center "The feature you are trying to use is on a CD Rom or other removable disk" I get this when I first sign on without even attemting to do anything. Can you help

Put the Cd in the computer that you got with the printer When that error comes up click on browse and go to My computer>Cd Drive (Which has Hp Cd)>Setup>Solution Center Click on the file which is Solutioncenter.msi (i think you would see only one icon) Click on ok and it would install it and then restart your computer
If you don't have the CD download the software from the website of hp Make a folder name 'Hp' on the desktop When you will click on the file that you downloaded It would ask you where you want to extract So select the folder Hp that we made on the desktop and click on extract and when you get that error message, click on browse, select the location Desktop>Hp>7z...>setup>Solution center and select solutioncenter.msi If it doesn't fix the issue You may try to uninstall solution center and reinstall it And lets up know if that doesn't work because then we will have to follow some advance troubleshooting and also let us know which operating system (Windows) are you using
Thanks and regards

Hp 5590 "solution center.msi" error, cancel, cancel, cancel??? 5590 is looking for ; "solution center.msi" ??? not on original CD, maybe HP has a download for this MSI?

You can locate the Solution Center.msi under the printer software CD
the path is CD\Setup\Solutioncenter\solutioncenter.msi

When it ask you to locate the msi file and if you are not able to locate it from CD, my suggestion would be to uninstall the software as it may be outdated and download the latest software and install it

To download the latest software for your scanner click on the this link - Download

Choose the operating system of your PC and under DRIVERS section, download the FULL FEATURE SOFTWARE

Pop up solutioncenter.msi. Fix this problem?

Copy and paste this address into your browser, download and install the Windows install cleanup tool. Open it up after installation and look for anything labled solution center and remove it. Be very careful not to remove anything else, restart your computer and the issue should be resolved, at least it worked for me.

Not much info given here, but try unloading the process at startup by Clicking the "Start" button, select "Run", type "msconfig" without the quotes, and hit Enter. On the "Startup" tab select and remove the check mark next to the startup item that is associated with the solution center. This item may be obvious or you may need to plug a few of executable names into a Google search to find the culprit. OK the removal and restart the computer. Depending on the operating system you will be prompted not to show a notice about changes made. Not to worry, in almost all cases the procedure can be reversed if by chance the wrong item is removed. PC-Professor, good luck!

HP J6480 error message insert 'solution center disk'

When you get this error message again, insert the installation disc you used for the printer set-up. Then, click on "browse" and go to D:\Setup\SolutionCenter (D: denotes the drive letter of your DVD drive), and you'll find solutioncenter.msi there. Select it, and then click on "OK" should then repair the installation and the issue should be resolved.

System reboots when acpi turned off

Hi martinkp, what you need is the update from windows. Leave you're acpi enabled withing the bios. Check windows update. Windows will update (windows software for the acpi). Rule of thumb concerning windows update. Check the dates of the updates & install in order, oldest to newest. This should fix you're system from shutting down. There will be no reason to turn off acpi after updating.
