Question about Toshiba COPIERS E-STUDIO 520 Copier

Recover user data

I have an estudio 520. The hard drive "failed" (F105 message). The service rep wanted to format, but I wanted to save my customer copy counts. I put the drive in a computer and copied everything to an identical drive (WD400). The fact that I was able to copy it made me suspicious of the failure, but after he formatted it, the copier works again. Now to my question. Is there any way to get the department copy counts off the drive? I can see lots of folders, but no software I have will read the files. Quite a bit of money is owing for copies if I can get the numbers. Thanks for any info you can provide.

Thanks for the message. The problem is I can't read/interpret any of the files on the drive. In fact I don't even know the name of the appropriate file. I don't have an actual "backup" from TopAccess. I have an exact copy of the drive at the time of failure. I need to see the copy counts that were in place at that time. Of the many files, I see a binary file that was altered the day of the failure. I suspect that is it, but can't read a binary file.

In theory, this was helpful, and I appreciate it. What actually happened is Toshiba took the drive away to recover it. Whether they are successful or not remains to be seen.

Make the e-FILING feature work (do not use the drive where your data is saved YET). Save and Download files/records off the network.

e-FILING Functionality:

Storage of documents in system for Print On Demand, Retrieval,Editing over Web Tool

After successful network saves/downloads, then use/get information from the back-up.

Only the printer's system can read those files regardless where the data is (inside the printer or off the network).

Once the e-Filing feature is active, have it read the data off the network.

Connect the drive to the computer and manually delete the folders and files which are not required.

Recover All Data From Hard Drive

Yeah, you are right! When something important is lost from hard drive without data backups left, hard drive data recovery software really can help rescue it all back.
In fact, not too long ago, I also accidentally formatted my external hard drive and lost a great number of files and folder without updated backup left.
Finally, in order to rescue the recent drive files and folders back, I tried many data recovery software online and finally rescue my needed drive stuffs back with one, like this:

If anyone also has such drive data loss problem, it may also help.
Just make drive data backups well all the time.

How to fix No Bootable Media Error Message

FAT (File Allocation Table) is one of the most widely used file systems used now-a-days with various versions of Windows operating systems and memory cards. Every logical partition contains a FAT that consists of file allocation information and the information of free allocation units that need to be assigned to files. Although the FAT file system is reliable, corruption still occurs due to various reasons. In such situations of FAT corruption, your system becomes unbootable, resulting into inaccessibility of data saved in FAT based hard drive. To access the data after FAT file system damage, an easy way is to restore the data from an updated backup. But, with inaccessibility of data backup or backup falling short to restore the required data, an ideal option left is to use an advanced FAT Data Recoveryapplication that can recover the lost data.

To illustrate the above scenario, consider a practical case the below error message pops up when you attempt to boot your system:

“No Bootable Media”

As the above error message appears at the time of booting the system, you wont be able to access the data saved in the hard drive.

Cause:

The above error message because the FAT file system has been corrupted. Few main causes for file system damage are improper system shutdown, human errors, and virus attack.

Resolution:

To isolate the above error message and to access the data after the above error message appears, you will need to follow the below steps:

Run CHKDSK utility to repair the FAT file system. If the problem persists, format the hard drive.

While the latter resolution resolves the above error message completely, it also deletes the data saved on your hard drive. In such cases, if the backup is not available, then you can only recover your formatted data by using an advanced third-party FAT Data Recovery software.

A FAT Partition Recovery utility thoroughly scans a FAT based hard drive and recovers almost all data, even after formatting. The data recovery utility can be downloaded from the Internet.

Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery is an efficient FAT Partition Recovery tool that recover lost, deleted, and formatted data from both FAT (FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, VFAT) and NTFS (NTFS, and NTFS5 ) based hard drives. The detailed help manual attached with the tool allows even a new user to perform recovery easily without any technical knowledge. It supports Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2003, and 2000.
