Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W50 Digital Camera
I have a MacBook 3.1 with Leopard operating system. Out of no where I have a big problem with my keyboard. I've had no issues with the laptop ever before, so this kind of took me by suprise.
Yesterday afternoon I had shut down my laptop in order to take it to class. Upon getting to class I turned it back on for use and found the keyboard to not work at all. My Caps Lock key is lit up and when I push it to turn it off it does not work; however by accident I found that if I push the "A" key it will turn off as long as I have the A key pushed down. Other than that, the entire keyboard with not function, I can not type, nothing. The trackpad works and the click button beneath it works, but this is the only thing. I can access programs, the internet, everything else on my laptop, and the screen works perfectly, however the keys will not allow me to type.
I've called the phone tech service people at Apple, however they said that it was not in my warranty to give phone service to fix the problem, and instead need to take it to a store. I am currently no where near a store without extensive travel and need to fix this problem as quickly as I possibly can. Any help would be so greatly appreciated!!!!!
ok here's what you have to do goto https://selfsolve.apple.com/GetWarranty.do or call the at 1-800-my-apple (I can't believe they didn't explain this to you on the phone you should call back and talk to a manager) you are going to have to arrange for apple to repair this for you. This can be done online or on the phone but basically what will happen is apple will ship you a box with packing instructions and what not. You will then you send the computer to them using this box (they prepay the shipping) they make the necessary repairs and send it back it's pretty simple and relatively fast I personally have done it before and didn't have too many problems. Also the first 90 days of phone support is free and I think if you have purchased apple care the extend it but I'm not sure on that one.
