Question about MTX Thunder 1501D Car Audio Amplifier
Hey i got an pioneer deck it's an deh-3900mb cd player that an friend of mind let me have because he said when he was hooking it up he touched the speaker wires on the back of the radio and then he didn't get no more sound out of it so i took it and put in my car and hooked up through the rca's jack cause they still work but it has the noise when u hit the gas it makes that wineing noise and do the volts on the radio got somthing to do with cause my pioneer is 2.2 volts they told me at mtx when i had call them that this amp needs an 4-8 volts just to get an high gain out of it thats y they think the noise coming thought the spreaks and do u think i need another cd player can u help this problem.
This is common with pioneer head units, the rca jacks are not properly grounded and this lets engine noise come through the rcs cables. This thread explains a fix http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=337644.
