Question about Desa International Powerfast Heavy Duty Staplegun

Open Question

Staple Gun: PowerFast Heavy Duty No. 31690. Won't staple.

I loaded it touse, and the staples wouldn't move forward. I slid the staple loaderout and a metal gadget fell out. It has a spring attached to it. Apparently this is what makes the staples keep moving foward, and itbecame dis-attached. I can't figure out how to re-attach it. And towhat!
It would help if I could see a diagram. I don't see how to get in to where the spring is to be re-attached, even if I knew exactly where.
Thank you for your reply.

I got some staples stuck in my Powerfast 31600 too. I THOUGHT they were the right staples, I was wrong. You have to bend a little tab on the bottom of the stapler to let the slide come out of the back. Then you can remove the staples. Replace the slide and tap the tab back into place with a punch.

SOURCE: How do I load my

Howdy, I don't have pictures, but that model is loaded from the bottom (not the back,as one might expect) while the plunger is pulled to the rear then pushed back in once the staples are laid in the track on the bottom. Handy once you get used to it:)

Follow the directions on the bottom where it says Press to open. Slide the silver loader out. It appears as though the staples should load on top of the silver loader. When I do this, the stapler does not work. When I insert the staples directly into the opening that was created when the silver loader is pulled out (the staples pointing up), close the silver loader which closes all the way with the staples on top (like if you had loaded them on top when it was sticking out), and press the handle. Works the first time! I don't know why it works this way and not when I load it from the top when the silver loader is sticking out. I just wanted to get it working! Hope this helps others in the future.

I have a stanley heavy duty stapler TC110. When I put my staples in, they don't seem to be catching. There is some black part sticking out of the end where the staples should come out. It looks like...

The staples load on the underside of the stapler.
Step 1 Push down and retract the stapler pushup mechanism.
Step 2 Position the stapler so that the moving hammer handle is down
and the staple exit is up
Step 3 Load the staples into the chamber on the bottom with the points up.
Step 4 Push the pushup mechanism into the locked position until it latches, you will feel the spring resistance as the staples are pushed into place.

How do i open the stanley tr110 staple gun to load the staples

Angelbabie...Like most things, it's pretty easy if you know how.

1.Release the loading latch located on the back end of the staple gun by pinching it with your thumb in a downward motion. This will release the catch and allow you to pull the loading slide out.

2.Hold the gun upside down (so the staple don't fall out) and place a stick of staples in the bottom of the channel which will be exposed once you pull back the loading slide.

3.Push the slide back in and make sure the latch is engaged. All good to go!

Happy stapling.

How do I load new staples in my TR110?

there is a lever on the back that you need to pull down in order to load the staples,, now it is spring loaded - so you will need to depress it and slide it back to reveal the chamber.
