Reset tablet my tablet will not power up. charged it and now i can not get it to start it. tried to reset with reset button and holding the power+vol and moving the lock botton back and forth with on results. Any ideas?

Hey,

You can attempt to remove the ram from the computer, start with no ram, reattach one ram and try starting up again.

you may have a hardware problem that might require repairs. I suggest you contact toshiba service for repairs.

there are not many things that you can attempt at home. replaceing of parts is one.

SOURCE: Power button inop at times & Power connection loose

Hi kimicob. From what you have described, it sounds like your AC adapter (power cord) is bad. This is a common problem with laptops. I have had to replace mine 3 times! Depending on what type of laptop you have, you can probably find a generic power cord online for less than $30. Or you can go to the laptop company's website and buy one from them, but it will cost much more, if they still carry it. You can try newegg.com or tigerdirect.com or just do a google search for AC adapter and the model of your laptop. Best of luck!

reinstall OS(operating system) might help..if still same prob happen..check ur memory(ram) and make sure its not over-heating..

Try resetting it by holding down the power button for 10 seconds.that would shut it down. Restart then try logging in. Try to factory reset using the combination buttons as listed below
look for a tiny reset pinhole along the case it may reset the tablet too All RESETTING Ways Below Holding Down Certain Sequence of Keys or Buttons will put Most Tablets or Android Phones in Service mode to Factory Restore to New.

see if there is a reset button where the sd card. usually it will say reset. if no reset button, you can try booting to recovery. it depends on the tablet so trial and error. press and hold up vol , home button and power at the same time and release power when you feel it vibrates. if you see android logo with exclamation point then your in recovery. if not try again. you can try " up vol + down vol + power button " or " down vol + home button + power button " when you get to recovery, just use up or down vol keys to navigate and pressing power button to select it. "wipe data/factory reset"

My tablet screen is frozen on the screen that reads azpen.when i turn it off and back on it is still frozen.it will not take a charge nor if i leave it on will the battery die.what can i do?

Hard Reset
Press Vol-up&Vol-Down button at same time, Then press the power button.
This starts your devices Recovery Mode.You can do a Wipe/Factory Reset from there. Use the Vol Up&Down buttons to navigate and the power button to select.
Be Careful and DONT MESS with the Other options or you may Brick your phone.

Try a hard reset. Typically done by holding the power button for about 20 seconds. Some tablets may have a small hole which will require a paper clip, located on the back of the device. If resetting doesn't work you will probably need to factory reset the tablet. Typical procedure.

Power off the tablet completely
Tap, then immediately press and hold Power + Vol down (Some will use Vol Up) until you get a menu
Use the volume buttons to navigate the menu to the factory reset option.
Use the power button to select the option. (This will wipe out all data)

Try using a paperclip to reset it on the back, hold it in for 5 seconds, if that doesnt work:
Turn the tablet all the way off, press and hold the VOL - and power at the same time for 8 to 9 seconds, it will show a green android guy with a system recovery menu. Use vol - to go down to Wipe Data/Factory Reset, press the power button to select it, go down to 'yes' to confirm, press the power button to select it, it will wipe the tablet, you then press the power button on 'reboot system'.
