Problem for Sony DAV-FR1 System

Power light blinking, won't stay on

We turned off our system the other night and when we turned it on the next morning it stayed on for a minute and then shut off. While it was on, there was no sound for the tv only a cracking noise. The power light started blinking, so we followed directions from manual to unplug, clean any dust and check speaker wires. We did all that and it will will not come on.
