I replaced the Cyan Toner Cartridge on the HP Color LaserJet 4500N. Either I did not replace it properly or something else got stuck. The printer now has a 54.2 Printer Error. Checking the manual I found it meant carosel Rotation failure. Right now on top of the toner is Yellow and I was not able to check on the Cyan Toner and I am sure that's the one causing the issue. The manual says to call technical support but is there any way I can make sure the Cyan Toner is seated properly when it's not on top of the printer?
Hi, i have the same printer and regularly get this problem. Open the top cover and rotate the cartrige that is on top slightly backwards towards the back of the printer. Once you turn the printer on again this usually solves the problem

I have an HP Color Laserjet 4500n and the half-circle roller unit does not rotate. The printer warms up, and the grey rollers spin, but at no point do the 4 half circle rollers ever spin. The printer then reports a paper jam becuase the paper was never pulled out of the tray and fed to the printer. The printer has 1 tray plus a manual feed. The manual feed tray works, but not the tray. Is there a spring missing or is it possible that a gear is stripped?
TIA

When I send a batch to be printed just 4 - 6 come out looking good, the rest look like the machine is running out of black toner. Took it in for service and they changed out the transfer kit (mine had 13% left) and they're following the steps in their HP repair guide. Next they plan to change the black toner cartridge. They've never seen this problem before and it's getting expensive. Do you have any ideas? Thanks, lana@lanamcclintock.com
