Press the reset button on the bottom of the camera. Then power the camera off, and power it back on again. "I

camera worked. this may be a fault or simply you not quiet fully familiar with the camera - fully read the manual-including the more comprehensive on on the software disk.
I suspect perhaps it is you- if you can conpose the scene in the un-focussed mode and it camera focusses as the shutter is closed thats OK- also it may be a sensitivity thing in the camera
