If you are getting the corrupted drive message on your Playstation 3 this means you have corrupted data on your hard drive. The link below will help you fix the problem with the corrupted data. Note if you still have trouble then you will need to replace the hard drive as there is something wrong with it.
This is to do a factory hard reset on PS 3 all files and systems settings will be deleted and restored back to factory this should hopefully solve your hard drive a problem. depending on the system reformat clould take 3 1/2 hours do a full format as to clear
1. Power Off the PS3 via the power switch in back and power back on w/switch.
2. Hold Power Button on the Front until you hear 3 beeps.
3. Then go through the initial setup and then run a full Format via System > Format.. You may need to have our AV cables ready if your using HDMI (in case HDMI isn’t detected after initial reset)
well I have a hard drive like this like yours and I have try to restore the hard drive many times and the same but what it is is your hard drive just install another hard drive and it may ask you that your system update is newer than that one on your hard drive so if this happen let me know and I can solve this is not complicated but who have to do this by phone for now replace your hard drive
There are really only 2 options when looking at this type of error. It is either: 1.A bad Disk 2.An internal problem with the system
A bad disk (or multiple disks) will occur when they become scratched, dirty, or destroyed. The best option here is to clean the disks with a non-abrasive cleaner and hope that it solves the problem.A good test is to try a brand new disk to see if the problem goes away.
An internal problem is very hard to nail down.Freezing can be caused by a number of factors but it is almost always associated with an overheating situation. It is important to make sure that the XBOX has plenty of room and ventilation around it.In fact, the worst thing that a user can do is to place the console inside an entertainment center nook and close the door.It is recommended that the console sit outside of the entrainment center and away from heat sources. There are a number of add on components that you could buy to increase the airflow into the console as well.
If this is an XBOX 360, also consider that the hard drive may be going bad.The best way to test this is to get your hands on another hard drive that you know works and test it in your console. If the problem resolves then the issue is related to the hard drive.
Your hard drive has been corrupted. There is an easy fix that will not void any waranties (If you have them). Just buy a new hard drive (Mine is a 500 GB Samsung for $125). Then lookup instructions on how to replace it on the Sony website. It is a very simple process.
you already have a corrupted hard disk.the best possible solution for that is to replace it with a new hard disk.corrupted hard disk causes the ps3 to freeze bcoz it cannot the load the data that the ps3 needs to boot properly.hope this one solves the problem
