Question about Garden
Pump stops while water is still in hole. It starts and shuts off. Bastment is still getting water in. I thought pump would stay on as long as water was still in window well.

1 inch of water is probably not enough water to set off the pump. The water level must be high enough to float the switch ball beyond 90 degrees of level before it will activate the pump. The pump will not evacuate all of the water there will always be some water left in the tank this prevents the pump from a dry start.
