How to clear a tab setting. Have tried Code Tab set (Clear) and this does not work.

Refer to the op. manual if you still have it... if not you can download one FREE at www.nadist.com .
As a last resort you can try a complete clear...this will reset machine back to factory defaults and clear memory tho.... so if you want to try it... Switch the machine OFF. Then while holding down the MARGIN RELEASE key switch the power back ON.
The unit will begin printing a pre-programmed test page, let it run for half a line and then switch the machine back OFF. Wait 5~10 seconds then switch the unit back On and the machine will be back to Factory defaults.

How to clear the full memory on my Panasonic electric typewriter

To clear ALL memory, turn the machine off, then hold down the SHIFT and CODE keys while turning it back on.
Here's a halfway measure. While in normal typing mode, hold down CODE and touch TAB CLEAR to clear all tabs and margins at once. Does not affect any stored text memory.
These work with the KX-R340 and all the KX-E series. I presume they'll work with your KX-R440 also.
