Turns over - wont start

Ongoing problem - I replaced ignition coil, spark plugs, fuel filter and fuel pump. After all these were replaced - truck ran great for 3 days - no more choppyness, power was back - I though I had it licked. Then I go out this morning and again - out fo the blue - no start. Just cranks. What is my next step? Service engine light is on.

No battery problem either

My guess is that after it ran out of gas, the key was in the forward position for a while and you unknowingly interrupted the antitheft system. Try to reset it.

RELEARN PROCEDURE:
Turn the key on, with the engine OFF.
Try to start the engine, then release the key to ON, Engine will not start.
Watch the security telltale, after about 10 mins, it will turn OFF.
Turn OFF the ignition, and wait 5 seconds.
Repeat steps 1 through 4 two more times for a total of 3 cycles/30 minutes. You must turn the ignition OFF for 30 seconds before attempting to start the vehicle after the 3 cycles. Then start the engine .

Replaced plugs and coil pack on 2001 ford taurus now car will not start

You will need to figure out if you have spark to the plugs, and if not- if you have voltage to the coil to proceed.

96 chevy cavalier 2.2 turns over but wont start have changed the following: fuel pump fuel filter map sensor crank shaft position sensor ignition module ignition coils plugs wires ran a ground from...

Tyhe first thing you shd always do on any car with starting problems is to check the spark on the plugs to localize the problem to either fuel or ignition problem. If u have an old spark plug lying around, remove one spark plug wire and attach it to the plug and lay it against the block. If it fires, when the engine turns, then it will most likely be fuel problem.
If it turns out to be fuel problem, you can prove it by using starting fluid carefully into the breather area.

Replaced bad fuel pump, installed new relay and fuel filter, engine turns over but is not firing on..... positive the fuel pump is pumping gas and checked to see if gas was going thru fuel filter. Tried...

Hi, Ok you have confirmed that it's not a fuel problem. You need to check for spark. Pull the coil wire off of the coil(secondary lead-looks like a spark plug wire) Have some one crank it over and listen for a popping sound. IF yes, spark is at the coil, that means all ignition sensors are working. Next check for spark at ends of wires after cap. IF no replace cap and rotor. IF yes remove a couple spark plugs and check for fouling(wet, fuel etc...) IF yes replace or clean plugs and retest for starting. IF no spark is present at coil you need to scan computer and watch for rpm signal. IF no rpm signal, replace crankshaft sensor with OEM delco part. BIGGEST problem with these engines is Cap and Rotor burn out.
