I can see strange stuff on screen 0's and 1's in Matrix like formation. Could this be a nasty virus or problem with graphics card. Might it be fixable or at lease data recoverable, can't get safe mode to work

Hook a spare monitor to the video output usually on the back, if okay! the LCD screen on the laptop will need to be replaced, but if both show the same symptom it is the video graphics card normally built into the motherboard.

The only way that your memory card has a virus is that it was downloaded to the memory card from the computer and no the "virus" would have little to no change of affecting the camera programing.
Format the card in the camera and that'll clean any nasty corrupt files and give you a clean working medium to work with again. A memory card after downloading pictures to the computer hard drive should be formatted not deleting every picture. Deleting doesn't clean and will over time cause some card errors and fail to download and a bunch of other annoyances. If the card is formatted after each download to the computer then this annoyance will be eliminated.

Sounds like you have a very nasty virus on board...and even if you do manage to quarantine it, I think you are going to find that it has corrupted your boot menu. Does it boot in safe mode and can you get into the administrator user? If so, you may want to do that and run some anti virus scans. If you have a friend with a computer or if you have another one....go to google and download DR. Webs anti virus....and MalwareBytes malware remover...they are free to download and use. Put them on a flash drive and run them from the drive. If they don't find anything, we may need to dig deeper....get Avast anti-virus, it's also a free download, run it and let it do a pre-boot scan and see what it finds. You have something nasty in there I belive. Good luck

well if you' ve seen frequent flickering in your screen this is the sign of there's problem on your video card and sometimes at the middle of game or doing work at computer you will be hang,try to clean your video card it could be keep your screen smooth and recover the quality of graphics,how to clean your video card, unplug power supply unit, open your pc cover,disconnect vga cable from video card,pull out your video card,scrub the multi slotted terminal by eraser head of pencil both side,then put it back video card and vga connection,if the screen has good quality after cleaning and persist again the symton of flickering,replace your video card.have a nice day,rate my fix,thank a lot.

Last night, i had a few other problems with my pc as a result of a nasty virus i got from someone on msn so i completely reinstalled vista so it is all fine now, sorry to wast any-ones time but i originally did not expect a full reinstall

i dont think u can reinstall a graphic card..i mean if its the problem of a virus you will have to scan for the virus ... if your virus scanner is able to detect virus and delete it well and fine ... if not able to delete it go to ur anti virus site and check what needs to be done for a specific virus .. theyll give u exact steps for example :

neways this all will save you from formatting your comp.. if case there are too many viruses or ur anti virus is not able to detect the viruses i would recommend formatting.

And as for counter strike source (valve source is CS source only rite if i am not wrong?) source being a high end game, your grapphic card may not be able to give the reqd support, so i guess try switching to lower resolution, remove extra effects (like make the smoke look bad and decrease gamma, etc) even in the graphic card properties there can be a few changes that can be made to help boost your comps gaming performace for instance , atleast in cs1.6 switching off vertical interlacing (or something vertical something ) increased the fps . so i guess i you should try that also b4 blaming the viruses :P

sony ericsson k 800i is just a normal phone it will not get affected by virus better u formt the memory acard in a pc with fat file system

Sounds like you have format your drive. Good practice is to leave a partition for just Windows and the other for the rest.
