Flavor wave oven cutting off before food is done

It is possible it is in the circuit that controls the on time---also possible a issue with the inverter (power unit for this unit) or even the Magntron itself which does the heating--

Consider taking to a repair shop for an estimate---both the inverter and Magnatron are expensive parts.

Where is the high voltage fuse on a microwave

The thermal fuse monitors the magnetron temperature and cuts power, if it gets to hot and resets in no more than 20 to 30 minutes. Unplug microwave oven, remove top, "several screws" look over to the right, thermal fuse is mounted on top on the inner chassis, "round and thick with 2 wires clipped on"

My H5640 microwave has stopped heating food and cuts out after 40 secs - is there a reset button or is it a "bin and buy another one" job

Sounds like it's time for a new oven. The magnetron tube that makes the microwaves is overheating and causing the safety thermostat to cut off power. Normally, with the cost of the replacement tube and repair labor, it's more economical to buy a new oven.

Does't heat and time goes off after 8 - 10 seconds

really need make and model but if it is a panasonic and it has inverter on the door it maybe the magntron and or the inverter pcb u need to unplug the unit and remove the outer screws when the lid is removed then on the right hand side of the unit as you look at it you will see a square box in the middle will have the number 210 or 236 on it if u can take a look down the open side of the box this is the magnetron you may see a crack in the magnets of the magnetron if you do not see a crack it may still be the magnetron you will not know for sure until you fit a new one also you will not know if the inverter has become faulty when you fit the new magnetron then test the unit if it still cuts out then you will know if the inverter pcb is ok or not if it still cuts out then it will be the inverter as well this info is only for panasonic inverter microwaves only

Cuts out everytime you put food in, any mode any food, then displays sensor on panel displayed. May run for a few seconds then cuts again Rob.

Hi there,

It could be either the magnetron thermostat or the cavity thermostat would be faulty, depending on the microwave but in most cases it would be a thermostat.
First of all you can try cutting the power to the unit for 5 minutes, then retry it.
Call 800-626-2005 GE costumer care You will probably need to provide your serial number when you call so be sure you have that ready.

Good Luck!!

Thanks
