Video quality problem wavy lines moving in colors

Sony Vaio PCG-K45 with radeon IGP 345M is the video card, I downloaded the latest driver for Win Xp and the laptop crashed or went to a blue screen of death, so I restored it to previous good config. But I still have wavy moving lines in the blue-gray colors.
I dont see my card listed on http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html.
There must be a driver out there that will work or maybe I have a video card problem?

Sony Vaio PCG-K23 LCD Monitor will work with Ubuntu or at c:prompt but the instant Windows loads it goes black. I've uninstalled, fdisked, reinstalled and so on what seems to be 100 times to no avail. I...

hook the laptop back up to the external monitor, once it boots and has settled, I would like you to hold down the Fn key which should be at the lower left of the keyboard and tap the F7 key. This will toggle the video output from external to internal or both at the same time. I have never heard of an issue where Ubuntu will allow a video signal, but now windows. I hope this works for you.

PCG-K415B is the correct model number the label is possibly the service tage or something.

Here are the specifications of your laptop
  • Intel Celeron D Processor 345 3.06GHz / 533MHz FSB
  • 512MB DDR SDRAM - Low cost double memory Offer - call for details
  • 40GB Hard Drive
  • DVD Dual Layer Drive - To read DVDs and CDs and write CDs, DVD+, DVD- and large Dual Layer DVD
  • 15.4" XGA xblacklogo.jpg Widescreen TFT Screen
  • ATI Mobility Radeon 345M 64MB shared graphics

My Sony Vaio will not boot to the OS.

You'll need to order the recovery disks from Sony:
  • Pricing and shipping information can be obtained from the Sony® Parts and Accessories Sales Web site or by calling (800) 488-7669.
  • Ifthe Sony Parts and Accessories Sales Center no longer carries recoveryCDs/DVDs for your model computer, service may be required. The Sony®eService Web site at http://eservice.sony.com/ can assist you in obtaining service from a Sony Service Center or locating a Sony Authorized Servicer.
Alternatively, you can purchase a copy of Windows XP or Vista and download all the drivers from here:
