Sony Vaio PCG-K45 with radeon IGP 345M is the video card, I downloaded the latest driver for Win Xp and the laptop crashed or went to a blue screen of death, so I restored it to previous good config. But I still have wavy moving lines in the blue-gray colors. I dont see my card listed on http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html. There must be a driver out there that will work or maybe I have a video card problem?

hook the laptop back up to the external monitor, once it boots and has settled, I would like you to hold down the Fn key which should be at the lower left of the keyboard and tap the F7 key. This will toggle the video output from external to internal or both at the same time. I have never heard of an issue where Ubuntu will allow a video signal, but now windows. I hope this works for you.
