Printer has shut down - we are unable to restart it

Remove the power cord from its back for 10 minutes then again plug in with ON button pressed.

    it could also happen if the power cord wire has become short and has gone faulty.also replace the power cord wire and try.also try in different electric socket at your place.

Hows the warranty? Unplug the printer and plug it back in. Hold down the power button for 30seconds, unplug and try again.

this is a scanner problem that can be associated with the scanner lock under the scanner bed. make sure the lock is in the 'unlocked' position. it is easy to move this when lifting the scanner bed to reload the ink blocks. if this does not solve the problem you may have to replace the scanner assembly. hope this helps.

Problem with my printer Brother MFC-240C "Print unable 4F"


Access the internal maintenance mode by pressing the Menu/Set button, then press * 2 8 6 4 within 2 seconds. This should put you in the maintenance mode menu. Enter 80, then scroll down with the arrow down (round) key. You'll find an entry listed as purge count. If number is over 6000, enter 2 7 8 3.

This will reset the purge count value. Then the printer will restart,
try this step by step.without missing any thing. thanks

Ink system failure & keeps shutting down & coming on its own.


Do the following, let me know if it clears or not:
  1. Press the On button to turn the printer off.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
  3. Remove all the ink cartridges.
  4. Wait two minutes.
  5. Plug the power cord into the back of the printer.
  6. Press the On button to turn the printer on.
Install the ink cartridges when prompted.

UNABLE TO CLEAN


If you have had the printer for quite awhile, it is possible that the overflow container is sensing that the cleaning pads are saturated. This means get it into the shop. An alternative is to power down, shut it off, unplug power, let it rest for a minute. Restart and try a test print and then clean.

Deskjet 970 unable to get test


ok...first...low color will do that blue effect..

and, you may need new drivers

remove old ones first

go here for fresh set

then reinstall

uninstall the printer.

 

unplug the printer from the computer.

run the disk.

shut down the computer.

restart the computer, reconnect the printer windows

Unable to cancel a document from printing


I have a lexmark 640 and experienced the same problem today and read similar problems but noone provided a solution. Fortunately I managed to solve the problem by cancelling the job then while it was still in print queue, shut down and restarted the computer.

This worked for me.
