Question about HP Pavilion s3020n (882780985063) PC Desktop
Removing the dvdrom drive is really proving difficult.it appears it is blocked by some screw.
The DVD drive has to come out the front of the tower. To remove the front panel there are 4 snap tabs that allow you to pull the front panel off. There is a sequence to this. First you have to remove the media bay by pushing the black tab on it and sliding the bay free. Next comes the HD, raise the snap bar and removing the one screw securing it right beside the snap clip. Unplug the connector labeled P3 and the HD will slide straight out. Now you can access the snap tabs for the front panel. Once the panel is off there is one black screw just above the HD bay that needs to be removed. Disconnect the 2 cables from the DVD drive. On the opposite side of the DVD drive theres a tab that you need to push outward and the DVD will slide out the front.

You may have to open the other side of the case to get to the screw.
