The document feeder keeps trying to feed

Sharp Fax FO 5500 When faxing, the document feeder feeds all the pages normally. When all pages have feed, it keeps trying to feed more. The roller turns as if there is paper in the feeder. It stops after the transmission has completed.

Re: The document feeder keeps trying to feed

You have a bad Document transfer sensor. Sensor is located under the doc. transfer roller.

six feet.
• Make sure there are no modem devices sharing the same telephone line.
• Check with the other party to make sure their fax machine is functioning properly.
• Have your telephone line checked for line noise.
• Try connecting the fax machine to a different telephone line.
• If the problem still occurs, your fax machine may need service.

My fax is having a problem feeding pages through the document feeder, it doesn't always grad the page, and if it doesn't get it, it acts like it has a paper jam, what is causing this?

Open the document feeder. Inside you will find a grey feed roller. Cleaning this roller with a cloth dampened with water will help with these paper jams in the document feeder.

Feeds document too far before it starts copying.

The doc feeder is a little finiky, try letting go of the doc as soon as the feeder detects a doc in place and not force it through the feed slot.

Is there laser fax model 612? Its the same as 611 or not?

Yes those Panasonic models are the same just the KX-FL 612 is different from KX-FL 611 in some specifications like as example:
611 prints maximum 14 pages per minute and 612 prints 16 pages per minute. The document feeder on 611 can feed maximum 20 pages while 612 can feed 30 pages and some other compare stuff like those.
Mainly KX-FL 612 is improved version of KX-FL 611

Paper jam in Panasonic KX-

Your document feed is separate from your received and report prints so that's why your reports are printing ok and the document feeder jams. When you open up the doc feeder and look inside the machine you will see a roller and above it on the cover that opens you will see a rubber pad. Clean both the roller and pad (in fact anything in there that is rubber) with a rubber cleaner, alcohol, or even soap and water on a cloth without it been dripping wet. You will probablt find that they are very dirty. The roller feeds the document in so that needs to be clean and the pad helps to keep all the other docs from feeding in at the same time and that should be very clean so it produces good friction.

How do i fax multi pages at once

Your document feeder should allow you it install a stack of originals, amount depends on machine specifications. Dial one number and send your multi-page document.

if not the feeder tires may need to be cleaned, a few drops of alcohol in the center of a clean piece of paper then run it through the feeder, put the paper in then when it stops press the stop button and it should eject the document, in doing so pass the alcohol past the feed tires. do this a couple of times then try your multi-page document again.

Hope this helps

I have an hp laserjet 3050 fax machine. When I go to fax several documents at one time, the fax grabs the whole stack and sucks them through. How can I fix this problem?

The first step is to insure that the top cover on the Automatic Document Feeder is closing properly. If it is not, the pages may multiple feed. If that is fine, then there is a pad that separates one page from the next in the ADF assembly. It wears out over time and begins to let the pages multiple feed. The part is normally replaced with the feed roller in the ADF at the same time. These are usually changed by a technician. The part #'s are RM1-0890 for the pad and RM1-0885 for the roller, you should be able to order them online.

Hope this helps!

Our problem is not solved. It was suggested the feeder needed cleaning or wasn't working. The feeder works as we make copies of documents. If one is scanning can you feed the document or can you only scan one page at a time by placing it on the window?

Fax Machine Jams Everytime I Try to Load Paper...

Is it jamming at the document feeder, or in the blank paper tray? You may need to clean the feed rollers. Use a lint-free cloth (not paper) and some alcohol.
